The article states that tearing may occur inside the gsync range when gsync is "on" and vsync is "off". I'm very interested in the gsync "on" vsync "off" case. The article states that tearing can be seen within the gsync range due to frametime varianses. In the example videos the fps is capped close to the max hz so the variance might take the fps out of the gsync range and cause tearing. If I cap fps...
