Re: G-Sync at non native resolution

Thread can be closed, I'm happy with my custom resolution now (was going over regedit).

Re: Anyone knows how to eliminate scaling input lag?

Yea indeed I used only NVIDIA GPU for custom resolutions in the past. But my new monitor (xn253qp) doesn't activate G-Sync on other resolutions (only native) but with CRU G-Sync is working.

Re: Anyone knows how to eliminate scaling input lag?

Yes, GPU scaling is predictably ultralow lag on modern GPUs -- including fixing overscan. And relilably lower lag nowadays than monitor scaling. For any NVIDIA or AMD GPU in the last few years , GPU scaling became more reliably lower lag than monitor lag. Try turning off monitor scaling and using G...

Re: G-Sync at non native resolution

Alright I got one step further. If I set the custom resolution in cru G-Sync is working or at least the monitor info shows it. The thing is when I have heavy FPS drops (from 141 to like 70) there are still some huge stutters. May I should teak the cru settings? I just used the native resolution sett...

Re: Driver 441.08: Ultra-Low Latency Now with G-SYNC Support

If I use NULL Ultra should I still cap frames -3 below refresh rate for G-Sync?

I didn't read all 18 pages of this thread (only the first one). So I have to ask if ON or ULTRA is better for low input lag?

Re: G-Sync at non native resolution

and for people that don't believe (as I hear that often) that stretching resolution can increase vertical FOV (depends on the game), watch this ingame screenshot.

G-Sync at non native resolution

I'm using in some games a non native resolution (1440 x 1080) with gpu scaling (stretched) on my xn253 for competitive reasons (more vertical FOV). If I open the monitor Info I see, that G-Sync is not working as soon as I start the game. If I start the same game at native resolution (1920 x 1080) G-...

Re: 1080p 144hz

I emailed Acer Support: "Good Afternoon, Thank you for contacting us. I have checked but cannot yet see any release information for a variant of this monitor with an IPS panel @ 240Hz currently unfortunately. In regards to your query on the different, the Predator range is our higher end range of g...

Re: 1080p 144hz

What did you get instead of the xn253 phixion? I'm thinking about some IPS 144hz I’m waiting on the new 1080p Acer Predator IPS G-Sync compatible monitor to release. 144Hz one is out right now. https://uk-store.acer.com/acer-xb3-gaming-monitor-predator-xb253qgp-black As Chief suggested I consider a...
