Re: Exceeding the max. pixel clock of a monitor harmful?
Though there are no answers so far, I would like to add something more to my question:
If I have a monitor with a native resolution (and a custom refresh rate) of "2560x1440@74Hz" and set it to "1920x1080@74Hz" but using "no scaling" (in my case: no GPU scaling as "display: no scaling" is ...

Exceeding the max. pixel clock of a monitor harmful?
Question:
Is raising the pixel clock value in CRU beyond the maximum pixel clock of a monitor harmful? Could it damage the monitor?
At present, I use a Dell P2720D (great monitor, by the way).
CRU tells me about this monitor:
V rate: 49-75 Hz
H rate: 29-113 Hz
Max pixel clock: 280 MHz
By default ...

Re: Eye strain problem
I currently experience eye strain using my LG 27GL850. I am surprised, most people do not report any such issues. I also had eye strain with the Dell S2719DGF and the AOC C24G1 and AOC 24G2U, whilst there is zero eye strain with a Viewsonic XG240R or an HP Omen X 25f. I cannot find out what the ...

Re: Best monitor for competitive edge in GAMING? (small list inside)
What's wrong with the HP Omenf? Seems to have the lowest input lag of 2.6ms
https://www.rtings.com/monitor/tests/inputs/input-lag
And a fast 5.3ms motion blur

The lack of eye, -vision protection. For me, it is very ...

Re: Stuck Between These 3 Monitors!
I have the Acer XN253QP and it's excellent, 1 panel had a bit of BLB around the very edge and interlace artifacts but my 2nd one is perfect, no BLB, no interlace artifacts. It's a brilliant monitor using the new AUO panel with G-Sync.
If you must stick to the list, I would avoid the Dell S2417DG ...

Re: Found the best gaming monitor by accident
As I said, I have the Acer XN253QP here right now (still time to send it back).
Would the Acer XF252Q be worth buying instead? Most likely, I won't keep the XN253QP - and the reason is the horrible stand which takes too much space and is unstable because the back part of this "foot" is also curved ...

Re: RTINGS test 240Hz HP Omen X 25f - Lowest input lag yet
I currently own the AW2518H and it's a beautiful looking, and has great colour but It gives me endless problems. I notice quite a bit of input lag and there are randomly lines on the screen and requires me to change res and change it back to get rid of it. I think i have a defective unit ...

Re: Found the best gaming monitor by accident
i know XN253QX use m250htn01.9 not sure about the QP but im guessing m250htn01.6
Did someone enter the service menu of XN253QX? Has it been confirmed that it uses panel version 1.9?
Currently, I have an XN253QP here, I had a look in the service menu, it shows version 1.6.
So do the QX ...
