Re: Does Nvidia FREESTYLE add input lag if it doesn't drop my FPS? EDIT: yes it does

Thanks for that Chief BB, so as I said, you're not going to see any discernible input lag increase with the filters mentioned by the OP (e.g. sharpen). He claimed it was there and then when asked what tools/methods he used, he disappeared. Fact is, if it was even 1 frame of extra input lag then you'...

Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread

A lot of esports players use 400 dpi but that doesn’t mean it’s the best choice. 24.5” vs 27” at 1080p is personal preference and how much desktop space you have. FPS games require you to focus around the area your xhair is located so the bigger 27” size isn’t a handicap but rather the opposite as s...

Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread

You need the 27'. I have it and calibrated correctly, it looks near close to IPS colors on 8bit !!!!!! the 24.5 had 6bit + frc it is not going to look as nice as the 27. Yeah the XL2746S I have looks close to my LG VA panel. Obviously the VA looks better (it’s a 10 bit panel) and has much better an...

Re: Does Nvidia FREESTYLE add input lag if it doesn't drop my FPS?

I highly doubt this. There’s no technical reason it would unless you lost significant FPS or piled on every single filter there is. First of all the filters can have significant impact on fps : https://youtu.be/6z46P0rlR5U?t=148 You can see the fps instantly dip as soon as the filter is applied. Se...

I can throw up a video in the next few days that directly show the ASUS vs BenQ side by side. You can keep trying to claim 100-200 nits is ok for games with dark corridors/rooms but it isn't. Software hacks don't make up for the lack of a bright backlight. Hell you can test this with the Zowie if yo...

Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread

Just got my Xl2546S today, kind of disappointed by the viewing angles mostly the vertical ones. It feels like the top of the screen is much darker to the point where I cant tell which tab im on while using themed google chrome. It feels like your eyes have to be perpendicular to the monitor to not ...

Re: BENQ Zowie XL2746S/XL2546S Owners Thread

ReShade sometimes doesn't work with newer games or results in bans so I'd be weary of using it. I'm not sure if playclaw/hudsight can lead to a ban but since it is a 3rd party tool it's always best to check w/the developer of the game or a subreddit.

Re: Viewsonic XG270 vs BenQ XL2746S vs Asus VG279QM

This is so true, high nits BFI can make eye strains really annoying, that's why i never go past 50% brightness on my VG259QM, there are many other ways to improve image quality without getting a headache such as using ELMB with ShadowBoost, tweaked contrast and increasing saturation. This! 200nits ...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 vs BenQ XL2746S vs Asus VG279QM

120 - 200 nits is already a pretty standard brightness for reasonably lit office/room. Unless you sit under direct sunlight or use HDR, it's extremely unlikely you would really need to go above 200 nits unless your goal is to get eye strain. Of course some people may prefer having extreme brightnes...

No it doesn't but there's 3rd party programs you can use that do the same thing and better.
Can you name one which does it properly for fullscreen exclusive?
