Re: Worlds First 360hz G-Sync Monitor!

Asus has a history of showing not ready tech and releasing it a year later: Asus ROG Mothership had been released a year after YouTubers previewed it. Asus Bezel-Free Kit - 1.5 years later. Other monitor vendors are comfortable with taking advantage of people's willingness to believe in them: LG 27...

Re: VG259QM 24.5" 280HZ

280Hz strobed means less ceosstalk at 240/200Hz. Hopefully so, but still, do not use ELMB Sync. At present, its solve for keeping the brightness equal while running adaptive sync is to start off with a standard pulse time, then a PWM flicker, and then increasing the times it flickers as you go lowe...

Re: VG259QM 24.5" 280HZ

TFT Central have the 27" version in for review, so expect to see some related info in about 2 weeks.

If you're getting it for ELMB Sync or HDR, don't. Use backlight strobing with a fixed refresh rate.

I have been looking for the same information.
There is no info at this stage beyond it being available in 2020, but probably early Q4.

Re: Brightness flickering in some games but not all

Are you creating a custom ICC profile or changing NVIDIA colour settings for each monitor you're using? Games will sometimes implement their own gamma settings and need to overridden by disabling fullscreen optimisations for the application. This should disappear over time and more and more games pr...

Re: HP OMEN X27 vs XL2546 for CS:GO/Siege

How so? I thought 27 inch was the sweet spot for object size at normal viewing distance? There's an argument to be made about typical viewing distances and keeping the monitor in your central vision (and the reduction in motion perception issue there within), but it's an extremely weak one. It's 15...

Re: Worlds First 360hz G-Sync Monitor!

So how do these now very high refresh rates interact with the "server tick rates" of games? I've definitely noticed an improvement, supported by performance, going to 240hz but from what I've read for Overwatch only the esports tick rates have been 144, let alone 240. Tick rate is more about minimi...
