Re: SYNC FAILURE: Unable to VSYNC

I just got a new mouse and noticed that the netflix windows app was skipping frames. Then I checked TestUfo and I found the same problem, rate jumping from 110 to 120 fps. I searched the internet and people mentioned RGB apps. So I uninstalled the Corsair Icue software and the problem was gone. (jus...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

If I check solid colors I see no vertical lines, stripes or banding on my monitor.

Make sure your color depth is 32bit.
Try multiple refresh rates, PureXP on/off.
Check the cables/graphics output.
Try it with another device or PC if available.

That's all I can think of now, not an expert.

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

Hello 100Hz has more time to hide the pixel transition artifacts. On my screen 100hz is also better than 119hz, but not by much. 120hz and up don't looks good enough to me to be used. Here are my screenshots from a year ago: https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=5998&p=47454#p47492 I do...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

Wow, I didn't expect that. I unplugged my blinds and moved the power plug to a different wall outlet (that isn't shared by my PC). The problem went away. Then I moved the plug to the original outlet and the problem still hasn't come back. If it reappears I'll have to make some permanent changes. I g...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

I got a Somfy remote to control my window shades. I think it uses a radio signal... RTS. Almost every time I use the remote the monitor turns off for a few seconds. It's as if the monitor reads the remote signal. I'm wondering if there is a setting in the monitor I can use to stop this from happenin...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

Set OD to "ultra fast". Play with the tests here: https://www.testufo.com/photo Try Pure xp on and off (adaptive sync needs to be deactivated). And try various refresh rates (and brightness levels if you flashed a newer monitor firmware). Ghosting is normal without backlight strobing (pure xp) due t...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

I just enabled Adaptive Sync, selected the Realistic 'Game Mode', lowered the brightness and used Lagom to check my white and black saturation, color banding. (color range and color space set to auto) http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/white.php The realistic profile takes care (and locks) saturation, gam...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

G-sync is all about the monitor refreshing when it receives a new frame. The monitor Hz setting is basically the upper limit. So: - either use software to limit the framerate (driver or ingame settings if available) - or, like you said, create a custom resolution to cap the max refresh rate G-sync s...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

I for one love not having to stand right in the middle of the screen for a good picture. Sometime I slouch in my seat but the colors are still ok. If I did that with my TN the whole top of the screen would go really dark. Edge of the screen might be brighter/glow in movies or any dark content, but I...
