Re: Oled tv rolling scan

My rift is great, but I have given up on OLED showing up in PC monitors in the next few years. Dell dropped it's plans for one. Samsung gave up on it altogether. The lighting industry (Philips, Osram) have pretty much dropped it for now. They sight cost, life-time issues and better prospects in LED...

Oled tv rolling scan

Hello Just wonder, are there any backstage news about implamenting rolling scan technology already used in Oculus Rift/Sony Trimaster PVM-2541 etc. in oled tv or monitors? I mean if there any plans or probability? I feel it would be best feature lg oled could add and upgrade their tvs, would really ...

Re: Any really bright (> 450 cd/㎡) strobed monitors?

Eizo fg2421 but i hate crosshatching on it (seen on all bright colors). More, probably some asus with gsync. Why you need it so bright? CRT are often much less bright (especially used). In terms of motion clarity the fastest lcd is still not close to CRT, some special lcds (like Benq, Asus rog) are ...

Re: 240Hz Turbo vs G-Sync

My opinion: gsync and 1440p both are not worth the costs (taking account all hardware and licensing cost needed). Resolution isn't the most important aspect for image quality. For fps game if you already have high fps in game, blur reduction like Turbo 240 might be good. But really good would be onl...

Re: Benq Xl2411z eye strain

Probably all led lcd monitors are not eyes/head friendly because of led backlight, I even used two Eizo monitors and also have it (eye strain/headache). I have zero such problems on my old Flatron crt.
With time eyes can get used a bit but still.. monopoly.
