I assume you meant the VG259QM vs the XF252Q (Acer?) I own both the VG279QM and XN253QX (Gysnc version of the XF252Q). I think you will be better served with the XF252Q. A TN panel is still very much the fastest panel you can get today especially if it's the newer generation lower response time pane...

The xn253qx has strobe for 100 120 and 144hz. The new IPS aren't quicker but the difference is way slower than years ago. Plus thie XN253qx has Gsync module witch assures a degree is made in quality control. do you have any idea regarding the motion blur on both these monitors? I think the VG279QM ...

VG279QM vs XN253QX

Hi Guys, More and more reviews have been popping up reviewing the latest 1ms "Fast IPS" VG279QM 280hz monitor. My question is- are these 280hz monitor faster than the 0.4ms panels offered on say the Acer XN253QX? I understand the VG279QM has a black frame insertion mode to further reduce motion blur...

Posting in this topic to report, I feel eye strain when using the vg279qm with ELMB on. Is it normal for ELMB (black frame insertion) to cause eye strain over prolonged use? If this is the case, will all other monitors with a similar implementation cause eye strain?
