I think your XG2431 is not KSF phosphor backlight? Many 27'' IPS is.
There is the ~144hz+ QD options, over here in AUS not much more expensive vs KSF. I don't remember any 240hz QD option.
So what I'm saying is I don't think there is a (reasonably priced) 1440p 240hz option without KSF, which ...

I think 2k is the perfect resolution today to play and have feast for the eyes, especially if you want to play a bit of everything, certainly better than full hd.
