Re: Motion smoothness: LCD vs CRT

Thanks for your answer. I have Lenovo Legion Y27gq playing with 2560x1440@240Hz but I'm not exactly happy regarding motion blur. I also played mainly 1600x1200@100Hz and sometimes 1280x960@125Hz with an IBM ThinkVision C220p ten years ago (130kHz horizontal frequency). I've found some sellers for Ii...

Re: Motion smoothness: LCD vs CRT

Thanks for your answer! My second question 2) was: what would be the CRT refresh rate equivalent to an LCD refresh rate of 240 Hz? Or more generally, what would be a table of equivalence between the two: examples of possible equivalence tables: LCD (Hz) | CRT (Hz) 240 | 85 144 | 75 120 | 72 or LCD (...

Motion smoothness: LCD vs CRT

Hello, I try to play competively some FPS game (MoH:AA). Same kind of game as counter strike (cs1.6, cs:go, etc) if you like. Let's say I meet 2 opponents in my field of view and I need to take them down before they do. One opponent is on the very left, the other on the very right. I have to move ve...

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq

Hello again,

I bought this monitor and I could not create 2560x1920@240Hz in Nvidia Control Panel. I could create 2400x1800, though. In my game, the maximum 4/3 resolution I can use is 2328x1746.

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq

Nvidia Control panels says DSR must be disabled if I want to create a custom resolution. I was only able to have 3840x2160 in windows with DSR. Ingame it doesn't work (image is truncated).

Unfortunately, DSR does not work in my game. The player view is truncated and the mouse movements are not correctly taken into account.

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq

Thank you for testing! Actually, with my 1080p 240Hz AOC monitor I can play MoH:AA game in 2048x1536 or 1920x1440 but I can not run these resolutions in windows (but I can create them in Nvidia Control Panel, just you liked could create 2048x1536). I would like to know if 2560x1920@240Hz resolution ...

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq

Yes, I am telling you that I did it with my current monitor: running for instance 1920x1440@240Hz with AOC AG251FZ which is 1080p.
My question is whether anyone has proof it is, similarly to above, possible to run 2560x1920@240Hz with Lenovo Y27GQ-25 which is 1440p.

Re: First 1440p 240hz monitor! Lenovo Y27gq

I'm not using 2048x1536 in windows, but only in MoH:AA (FPS game). In MoH:AA, I experience that 2048x1536 is better than 1920x1080, or 1440x1080, etc. My monitor is 1080p and 2048x1536 is possible. This behavior is also valid with many other monitors, as I witnessed it when advising a few people to ...
