Re: Gsync on xl2540

Reinstalled the driver while leaving my gsync display disconnected fixed the issue. Freesync/gsync is working now on xl2540. Hopefully it stays that way maybe something in the drivers doesnt like the two of them connected to the same computer.

Gsync on xl2540

Hello people of the internet did anyone happen to get gsync to work on the xl2540? I can see the option in the nvidia menu and I can click it but the radio button does not seem to stick and I also dont get any notification on the monitor that it is enabled. I saw online that their appears to be a se...

Re: BENQ XL2546 WHITE SCREEN

Could be a loose connection somewhere in the monitor I wouldnt worry about it too much. If it happens a lot I would rma it dont open it up and try to fix it yourself. I have some weird colored pattern that fills the entire screen sometimes on my xl2540. But it happens very rarely usually after it co...

Re: Asus PG258Q - Can it do 180Hz ULMB

Hacking ULMB to work at higher refreshrates can be done with Custom Resolution Utility although pretty difficult if you don't know what you're doing. There are exact timings and limits G-Sync chips use to determine id ULMB is allowed and if the monitor will even output a signal. you can have a play...

Re: ATTN: Zowie XL2546 owners [Test FreeSync 'Hack']

If the scaler is the exact same and the panel is the exact same, then yes, the firmware would work, but you had better have a way to recover from a brick. But it's unknown whether the displayport connection would also be updated. I know I flashed an *XL2420Z* firmware into my XL2720Z to mess around...

Re: ATTN: Zowie XL2546 owners [Test FreeSync 'Hack']

Does anyone know if the XL2546 firmware will work on XL2540? I give it a fair chance it will work if the scalar is the same. The 2540 also has a low motion blur mode in the service menu I think the only important difference between the 2546 and 2540 are the overdrive tables. The rest of the adjustm...

Re: Overwatch -- Lightboost 120Hz + Fast Sync

Overwatch does run at 240 stable, but still stutters :P currently running a i7-6700k HT at 4.4GHz, Corsair 3200MHz 16GB, 1060 slightly OC'd on-top of its factory OC (1936MHz core & 4096 memory clock) my settings are all on low with 75% render scale too edit: i'm looking into getting Acer's 240Hz wi...

Re: Overwatch -- Lightboost 120Hz + Fast Sync

Fast sync should eliminate any kind of tearing artifacts. What I think you're talking about is stuttering. To run overwatch at a stable 240 fps you need an insane cpu (7700k at 4.5ghz+), fast ram (3200mhz+) and a decent gpu (1060 or above). That will be at low settings at 1080p. You cant use single ...

Re: Asus 240hz native new screen

You can get less lag at the same framerate. This is because 240fps capped on older GTX 700-series (e.g. 4ms rendertimes) have slightly more lag than 240fps capped on GTX 1060 thru GTX 1080 (e.g. 1ms rendertimes). Huh unless the game uses a lot of buffering I dont think that will happen if frame tim...

Re: Asus 240hz native new screen

I don't have a 680 though! I have a 760, I can sell this on ebay and get the 750 which is actually cheaper !(and presumably a lower spec) just seems weird to me that the 750 is supported but not the '60! I believe the 760 and 770 are based on the kepler gpu's from the previous generation. Meaning t...
