[A5hun] How LCD Response Times are Measured, and Why 10% to 90% GtG Measurements are Moderately Deceptive

I'm a big fan of A5hun and I wanted to share a very informative and technical analysis of how G2G is calculated and what the G2G table charts from your average monitor reviewers compare to a normalized gamma response curve (that is a more accurate and panel specific form of Rise/Fall interpretation)...

Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN

This is my XL2546K. https://youtu.be/mehHYJbQ94g Thoughts? It looks great! Can I ask you how's the crosstalk on top/bottom part of the screen? I even wonder how good is non-strobed mode considering that the average G2G is 1.1ms, which is impressive and should probably reduce ghosting even further.

Re: NEW Benq Zowie Monitors Speculation/Info Thread (XL2546K-B, XL2546K, XL2411K)

I found this(https://youtu.be/LikiFdmRIBM?t=428) response time chart of the XL2546K in a japanese PG259QN review, apparently it goes as low as 1.29ms with what I guess is AMA Premium. But this is not the end. For the sake of using the exact same reviewer measuring G2G with the same method (since we ...

Re: USb 3/4+ Future USB 8,000Hz -to- 24,000Hz polling rate

USB 2.0 is already overkill bandwidth for mice which technically don't need 480 Mbps of bandwidth. No performance improvements were observed for USB 3.0 ports. Contention (interference between high-Hz poll devices) is more important than whether port is USB 2 or USB 3. Give each high-Hz device its ...

Re: USb 3/4+ Future USB 8,000Hz -to- 24,000Hz polling rate

The release of a new accessory has a way of forcing manufacturers to re-optimize around it. What's true is that many systems are suboptimal, but is definitely not the raison d'etre NOT to release a device. It's also why Razer released a number of prototypes so that the industry can educate itself a...

Re: AW2521HF vs. MAG251RX

If I was you I'd either pick the MAG251RX or the VG259QM unless the AW2521hf is noticeably cheaper, personally I'd buy the MSI if it costs 50 bucks more than the Alienware. Asus: + Can be overclock to 280hz (Probably using binned panels) + 7 Overdrive levels + Best strobing among 24.5" 240hz IPS (Ca...

(HTML5 is now complete enough to do 1000Hz+rawinput)
I can't wait to try it! When are you planning to release it?

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.

With ultrahigh poll rates, you really need to isolate to one USB chip (and/or separate bus lanes) per high-pollrate device. Or do do USB port roulette until you find jackpot. Keep the adjacent ports empty (port above/below a plugged-in high-Hz USB device) because they often share the same USB contr...
