Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

Thanks for additional detail. So 224Hz behaviour changes dramatically based on the timings (LCD Native versus LCD Standard formula for Custom Resolution Utility). This may be why some of us didn't see it and others saw it -- because different people are creating 224Hz slightly differently. Also beh...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

Just discovered that Adaptive Sync effects it too because with Fastest OD Full Color Control at 224 Hz Adaptive Sync off is fine but when adaptive sync is enabled at 224 Hz it looks all wonky too. Sorry if my images are very poor. Here is 224 Hz (Full Color Control w Fastest OD & Adaptive Sync Off) ...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

If you want to find the firmware version refer to this topic: https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6850&p=51640#p51640 I found something interesting about this issue with Full Color Control. It does not happen for me if I use the custom resolution (224Hz) that I created in CRU but if ...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

I found something interesting about this issue with Full Color Control. It does not happen for me if I use the custom resolution (224Hz) that I created in CRU but if I select any other refresh rate in NVIDIA control panel it goes all wonky unless I lower the OD. How do you check the firmware version...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

Also I noticed one thing, using Full color control, custom RGB with OD fastest setting adds huge ghosting\coronas and stuff.. I am not sure why? It seems we can only control custom RGB without fastest mode or in PureXP mode but otherwise we are bound to use pre-configured profiles. Is this a bug? W...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

You can confirm 10bit signal via NVIDIA Control Panel -> Display -> Change Resolution -> Scroll to bottom > Output color depth Try testing 220Hz and see if 10bit works. If that works, go back to 240Hz and use the same horizontal/vertical settings but at 224Hz -- it's more Pixel Clock based so if sy...

Re: Viewsonic XG270 with 'PureXP" MBR [pre-tuned by Blur Busters!]

Got my XG270 today. Very happy so far but I have yet to play around with PureXP. I have a question regarding the 224Hz sweet spot. Is it acceptable to CAP fps to 224 to 230 Hz to get the same improved performance with overdrive set to fastest. Obviously to take advantage of 10 bit setting I will nee...

Are there any other screens using this same panel at the moment that also have strobing?

Re: 04/18/2020. The IPS 240hz monitor tier list.(I've measured/tried the all) and my honest explanation why.

I just have 1 further question regarding VG279QM Vs XG270. I see from reviews that the VG279QM is not quite fast enough for 280hz non strobed which causes some smearing. In theory, it's supposed to cause smearing, but you won't see it because the added motion clarity and the 280hz refresh rate/fram...
