Re: [Problem] Invisible Line down middle

Most likely a GSYNC or panel issue. At the TCON/panel level, the left and right side of the screen are often transmitted via different cables, which explains why artifacts can be side-specific. This looks like a pixel synchronization error (some botched clock DLL that sometimes locks onto the wrong ...

Re: WANTED: 1000fps camera

When i did my 1000fps testing i did it with one of those sonys all in ones, i can't remember the model or have any of the footage but it looked pretty good. https://store.sony.com.au/cameras-digitalstill-camera Probably was a SONY RX100ivor RX100v then (aka RX100 M4 or M5). These support 1000pfs at...

Re: Why do 240HZ monitors have more lag than 144HZ AHVA

If the differences are indeed down to a 3ms latency difference, then you should get the same results by using the same monitor but introducing an artificial 3ms penalty. If you then don't get the same results (and I doubt you will), then it's not the latency differences of the monitors to blame. I'...

Re: Why do 240HZ monitors have more lag than 144HZ AHVA

Hello, Just wanted to share my personal experience on this matter as I have: ... Thanks for sharing - made me change my mind. If I compare the numbers of the 240Hz/TN (RG258Q) and the 165Hz/AHVA=IPS (PG279Q) on tft-central, I come to the conclusion that both monitors should be on par regarding butt...

Re: Why do 240HZ monitors have more lag than 144HZ AHVA

Nontheless, GtG lag is sometimes high subjective (human sensitivity varies), but the best industry standard for lag stopwatching is either GtG10% or GtG50%. GtG10% because the photons are visible by then. 10% of the way from black to white is a dark gray. That's still visible. And manufacturer GtG ...

Re: LG 24GM77 input lag / sluggish Mouse?

My 24GM77 just feels restrictive by comparison. I've tried Displayport, HDMI, the supplied DVI-D but no luck. I've even tried lowering my refresh rate to 60 just to test, but it still feels slow compared to my other monitor. I can't seem to find anything in the tech specs that could indicate why. M...

Re: ViewSonic XG2530 enters 240Hz eSports monitor market

It does make some sense though. Kind of. If a game always forces the highest refresh rate and has no configuration option, then you're stuck with the highest refresh. You're right! If it is implemented in this way (rebooting monitor with changed EDID), it is basically a convenient way of switching ...

Re: ViewSonic XG2530 enters 240Hz eSports monitor market

Interesting monitor. No motion blur reduction, but apparently 5 overdrive levels and controls for gamma and saturation. Wonder whether the "Monitor Hertz Cap" control makes any sense though. The manual says: " Under Custom 1/2/3, you can adjust the Monitor Hertz Cap setting to fine-tune your respons...

Re: Does Overdrive and ULMB add Input Lag?

Yes, spec updating shenanigans is causing great confusion at this time. We will have to wait and see what the launch is. The story is probably more complex. -- They had 1440p but switched to 1080p; or -- They have 1080p with ability to downscale 1440p->1080p; or -- They have 1440p hardware and ther...

Re: Does Overdrive and ULMB add Input Lag?

It is a native 1440p monitor. Evidence? This is a 1440p monitor. It's sold as such. If you claim it's not, YOU need to provide evidence. Yes, I can see that it is sold as such. And I thought I provided evidence already for it not to be native 1440p (https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&...
