Re: List of 240Hz OLEDs

Hey chief, I'm loving what I am seeing with HDR headroom used for injected BFI on the Tink. Are you looking into implementing your rolling scan idea via the tink?

Re: (Idea) Eliminating Light Leakage at the diffuser in Scanning/strobing Backlight with QD

"Blocking the light is the same as losing it." "So the IR light would be lost in practice as it would be with the black pigment." "does the exactly same thing as black pigment does for human eye." NO, because the light is still there. and can be upconverted with this approach, unlike with black pigm...

Re: LG 27" 1440p 240hz OLED Ultragear 27GR95QE

seeing this monitor makes me hope to see a Zisworks kit. A zisworks kit could easily handle an integer scale of 4X of 720p for 1440p at greater than 360hz. If the gtg response times are actually 0.3 ms this could be insanely close to actual CRT motion.

Re: NVIDIA introduces DLSS3, interpolates frames, but is not v-sync compatible.

If you feedstock DLSS at 100fps, the latency to amplify 100->200+fps is very tiny (milliseconds), an order of magnitude less than television interpolation. This is BIG for some fans here who turn on interpolation with consoles -- because sometimes they have motionblur eyestrain. Chief, shouldn't th...

Re: How do I stack two projectors to increase FPS?

"Good that you're enjoying the motion(maybe you should do the UFOTest and post it here) but let's be realistic, the resolution and the actual image quality is way worse than even a cheap consumer CRT" The truth of the matter is, I just wanted to get in on this technology before its gone for good. F...

Re: How do I stack two projectors to increase FPS?

I don't know if its the same parts as in the Sony. It doesn't have the same functionality as the Sony ones did. I bought these because they were the only ones left on offer lol. I had to have a piece of this technology. I am going to try for a 2560x720 surround setup, since I bought two. There is a ...

Re: How do I stack two projectors to increase FPS?

No, I do not know how to write my own display driver, I am not that advanced. Do you think there is any software out there that could do it?

How do I stack two projectors to increase FPS?

I have heard the chief make the suggestion that one can run multiple projectors in series for increased FPS using Genlock? I just got myself 2 Nebra Anybeam MEMS projectors and I am wondering what hardware I would need, or if I could configure my GPU (GTX 1060 3gb) to output frames in series? Any he...

consider the question in terms of motion resolution. Do you want higher resolution still images, or clearer panning images that are not as sharp?

Re: Isn't QD-OLED perfect for backlight strobing?

We want to prioritize the fastest GTG but also have bright strobe pulses. Couldn't we theoretically coat a blue OLED material on the substrate with a clear yet reflective coating (so the organic material is still self illuminating, and easy to drive) but we could also then augment the brightness wit...
