Re: Does cloning your display cause increases in Input Lag?or FPS drops?

Hello I am seeing mixed opinions about whether or not cloning your display for dual PC streaming is the way to go. I want to do it as I want to retain the Gsync capabilities of my monitor as well. I hear from many that cloning a display does not cause any issues, FPS drops, or input lag increases. ...

Does duplicating displays cause any performance drops

By duplicating displays I mean COMPLETELY mirroring my whatever is going on monitor 1 to the other monitor. In my case I want to mirror a monitor 1440p@240hz to a capture card but at 1080p with 240hz. I see conflicting answers but it's because no one was clear on what exactly they were asking.

Alienware AW2521H vs ViewSonic XG2431

I currently own the Alienware AW2521H and it is an amazing monitor. I don't use any of the strobing technology. I just use it regularly to play games, adaptive sync (g-sync) and my console games (since it has really low 60hz input lag). I noticed the Viewsonic monitor also has the same features exce...

Gsync compatible monitor forcing 60hz on some 60hz games and not others while other Gsync compatible monitor does VRR on

So I have 2 "Gsync compatible monitors" the ASUS XG248Q and the Alienware AW2521HF. The Asus monitor works on all 60FPS games but the Alienware will literally default to 60hz on some 60FPS. 60FPS with VRR is much better then 60FPS on 60hz due to latency reasons and the colors turn to limited when se...

Re: Does having 60FPS using VRR have lower input lag than 60hz? Confused*

I see, and does top and bottom lag matter at all (last question) if the differences is 2-3ms If you're playing at 60Hz, potentially where updates at the very top or bottom of the screen are concerned. But again, if you're playing at 240Hz, or 60 FPS 240Hz VRR, then what you're device is reading at ...

Re: Does having 60FPS using VRR have lower input lag than 60hz? Confused*

the thing is I'm not asking if its strange my results are different than Rtings I know why it's different. I wanted to know if the top and bottom results for input lag matter much or even just a little b/c both monitors have an advantage in one of those aspects The difference you're seeing between ...

Re: Does having 60FPS using VRR have lower input lag than 60hz? Confused*

So I just received the monitor today. Right away I was blown away at how much better the screen quality was compared to the my old monitor the Asus XG248Q; however when doing my own input lag tests using my Time Sleuth lag tester I got these results Before you go any further, you need to confirm wh...

Re: Does having 60FPS using VRR have lower input lag than 60hz? Confused*

What confuses me is that if I play a 60FPS game wouldn't it just bring my refresh rate down to 60hz and I would have the highest input lag i.e 12.7ms instead of the lower input lag 3.1ms because now its Variable Refresh rate @ 60hz? Assuming RTINGS is testing and describing this correctly, If you h...
