Having airflow over dimms will improve temperatures regardless, but if you want to see full benefit you will have to remove the heatspreaders. You can use a hairdryer or w/e, but if you're playing with 100-200$+ dimms you should use the ln2 method. If you're hesitant to bother will all of this "just...
