Your monitor does this a lot? Mine only did it the one time. It was really weird. I wouldn't doubt it if Acer is pumping out lemons. We all really need to head over to their forums and start posting the issue there. At least that way it has a better chance of being noticed.

Mine did it today. It went away after a few minutes.


Currently anytime my monitor does it I just go into its rgb settings and tweak one of the values til hopefully it no longer does it anymore.... I do need to recalibrate though since I've done that but then feel like higher chance of the issue ...

I wouldn't get your hopes up, my PG258Q still has the occasional line down the middle issue that WAS determined to be Gsync and fixed with firmware updates on select monitors (to be clear, the PG258Q was NOT one of the lucky few to get the fix). My XB253Q GX has no such image retention issues. AT ALL. The monitor has been perfect actually. I have no complaints. There must be something else that is causing this issue in both cases, what video card are the people using that have this issue?

Hey, I also got this same problem and looked on internet for some info about it. Tried also some feedback from Acer support and they suggested to install the latest driver for the monitor, after i did it that issue didn't appear again. My workarround when this happen is change the HDR settings in ...

Unboxed it and hooked it up, oddly I didn't really see anything happening with the Lagom Inversion test (Had both the page 50% and 75% of screenwidth with dark grey and even a mid grey colour). Went back to the image I posted earlier and the Inversion was instantly there.

Uli, can you test the Lagom Inversion patterns ( Lagom Inversion ) and let me know which pattern generates the most issues. You can also fill a whole browser window with an inversion pattern (50%-75% screenwidth) and drag it around a solid dark grey background, to check for row-voltage leakage ...

Unfortunately, I have an issue with my 253Q GX. When I'm on Reddit (dark theme) or any site with a predominantly dark background, vertical lines and ghost(persistent) images appear. It sucks because other than that I'm really enjoying this monitor.
