Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.

A question for the Chief. I notice that Razer suggest turning off G-Sync, FreeSync etc when using the Viper 8KHz at 8000Hz. Any thoughts or observations regarding this, particularly with the emphasis on G-Sync etc on Blur Busters. Did you (the Chief) try G-Sync on/off when testing the prototype. I'...

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.

Some comparison between the 3370, 3389 and 3360. That chart is kinda sloppy. Whoever made it looked at the highest number without even looking at the units. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/653156561035722762/740185893259968532/unknown.png They looked at 61 and put 61mA in there when in reali...

Re: Optimization Hub for beginners

Indeed, but this will be the case for as long as the world turns. No way to fully avoid this in any field, unfortunately. I foresaw it as soon as they announced the Reflex in-monitor mouse tester: Yes, unfortunate. What makes the situation worse is Reflex Analyzer being 20 sample by default. Sure, ...

Re: Optimization Hub for beginners

Exactly why I'm concerned in general. People WILL produce all kinds of data to mislead the majority of consumers when it comes to input lag impacting user experience. Some people already are, happens to be the same image you posted  https://i.postimg.cc/mZS74BZh/image.png When performed and in...

Re: it seems the hardware-cursor is using an independent type of vsync that probably cannot be turned off

Can you name an example ? Disabling HPET in BIOS (with "bcdedit /set useplatformclock true" in os, which will force PMT) for example can cause stutters in 3d games, but desktop cursor movement is usually better. HPET is usually hidden in newer bios, so you'll need a modded bios to disable it. On ry...

Re: Optimization Hub for beginners

Hopefully you aren't suggesting that you can feel lag that the hard numbers don't show... Except, click to photon tests aren't hard numbers , its quite incomplete as it cannot measure latency continuously . There's a more detailed post explaining this https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=...

Re: it seems the hardware-cursor is using an independent type of vsync that probably cannot be turned off

Interesting. Might explain why certain settings/tweaks can feel terrible on the desktop (cursor movement) but good in game and vice versa.

It's kind of like the EMI stuff that (even NVIDIA acknowledges)

Got a link to that? (NVIDIA claiming it can be an issue)
I'm also interested in this. I don't remember nvidia mentioning this in their input lag related articles atleast.

I'll just leave this here.

Note: fps was locked at 240 (same as monitor hz) in all the tests.

Re: Frame time differences between NVidia and AMD?

use a 1000fps camera on at least a 240hz monitor and record overall input lag but switch the mhz of the GPUs, e.g. downlock AMD down to 1500mhz (but keep fps above 240), see what difference that will make With my limited experimentation with CPU clock speeds, higher clock speed will definitely incr...
