What the heck, this is big! 120hz bfi on a 2023 qdoled panel!? Would like this to be tested for brightness and what not.
Wonder if that means this years qdoleds will allow this too... Sony is quiet for now regarding their 2025 tvs... Will samsung enable this on theirs? Maybe it's already working on ...

Ugh, you're right... I must've misread something somewhere once, didn't check again, and have been waiting for this monitor to hit reviewers for this very reason... (backlight scanning)
It's certainly NOT mini led... Just normal ...

Sony's apparently already available m9ii has backlight... scanning... using mini led . EDIT: NOPE, MY MISTAKE NO MINILED JUST Full array LED.

TFTcentral review. BFI is avaiable @240hz with "480hz quality" at 2ms persistence, AND bfi is also avaiable @120hz but... it's 4ms... so equivalent to 240hz. Was hoping for 120hz/480equivalent, but that is not ...

@1:35- probably 240hz only.

Here's a short review in polish, where they confirm that it really has bfi at 48-120hz, although they don't test it, just mention it's there, while adding that this feature is "not needed" because y'know it's oled :roll: Le sigh. But at least this confirms it.

60hz looks like crap on the pg27aqn anyway. it literally looks like you've turned on mousetrails in windows 95 with 3-4 mouse cursors following behind your mouse

it lets me turn it on at 120hz. at 100hz no works, 60hz doesn't work


Huh! Thank you so much! So at least 120hz is supported, (so probably 240hz should too) this is way easier to achieve in games than 360hz... No 60/100 is a bit of a bummer, but this is still great news! 120hz with potentially ...
