Re: LF a monitor with best image quality, with good refresh rate? (Even 144hz is fine)
Such as LG 27GL850 or ViewSonic XG270QG or Eve Spectrum or others? are there any good 24'' NanoIPs, not extremely pricy panels? So far I could only find the LG 24MD4KL-B Try an Amazon Prime Day sale, perhaps? It will help you to be flexible with the resolution (1440p) and size (27") and there are w...

Re: LF a monitor with best image quality, with good refresh rate? (Even 144hz is fine)
I'm looking for a 24'' media creation/consumption monitor that also has decent refresh rate/perks (such as 144hz and more, preferably 240hz though). The IPS is too washed out, TN has awful viewing angles, dunno about VA. I own a MAG251RX as my main gaming monitor but it's not too great at reproduci...

Shroud received his 1440p 240hz display
Shroud (extremely popular twitch streamer / csgo/valorant player) has received his 1440p 240hz monitor and is ranting on how he sees no meaningful differenec between 1080p and 1440p. this is what I've always thought as well, any 1080p monitior can look as good as 1440p as long as the render resoluti...

Re: MSI mag251rx too dark / optimal colour settings
I love my mag251rx, I think it has great colours and on the "Fastest" setting it gets the job done. The problem is this thing is too damn dark. I've recently been playing Tarkov again and the game is so much easier to play on my second monitor (Asus vg248qe). I understand you can't really change th...

Re: 05/22/2020 UPDATE. The IPS 240hz monitor tier list.(I've measured/tried the all) and my honest explanation why.
posting here to add a counterpoint to the "2020 gen IPS monitors are as good or superior to TN" - I'm a fast paced gamer with a twitch style of aiming and currently play Overwatch in GM+ as a DPS player, Diabotical, Valorant, etc. I made the transition from an Alienware 2518hf to the Asus VG259QM. ...

Re: 4k resolution at 4k monitor vs DSR 4k at 1080p monitor.
I owned a 27'' 1440p monitor for 10 years. Went down to 1080p 24.5'' MAG251RX. Trying 1440p render resolution is literally the same to my eyes as native 1440p monitor.
tldr 1440p and 4k are a meme.

Re: The Official *MSI Optix MAG251RX* Owners Thread
I don't notice this problem. When mine goes to sleep it looks like it is off. If you mean the led colored light in the rear of the monitor then that is turned off via the OSD panel options somewhere. thats weird. theres another user in this thread with the same problem. The backlight stays on when ...

Re: The Official *MSI Optix MAG251RX* Owners Thread
but that isn't true.. it doesn't mess with anything actually. Chief said so too. for OLED monitors, LG CX 48'' OLED TV works fine as a monitor apparently Oh, I didn't know that. According to a few here, it seems it was a efficiency issue or something of the sort. I didn't catch the Chief post sayin...
