If the fps are lower than refresh rate(and strobe rate) you'll get multiple image doubling, both with MSI's MBR and with Dyac.

Unfortunately with COD:MW, I think you can only choose refresh rates from 60, 120, 144, 240. Not sure I want to go down to 144.

Do you want your fps to hit that to take advantage of the lower input lag and less motion blur? lower your graphics settings a bit, there's no reason to not be well into the 200 fps with a 2080 ti. If you don't want to then I'd still say try them both out, no reason to return a good monitor hoping ...

I wouldn't return, try them both though. The Asus can do 280hz(if you can too) and has strobing(some love it some don't care for it in it's current state) and response times are pretty even.
