Re: Strobed FreeSync now available! Simultaneously.

Why on earth did they put this amazing technological innovation on a curved panel? I really can't stand this feature. Curved causes straight lines to be curved. Oh well at least now that it's out there, there should be some non curved panels with it eventually. I've been looking forward to this day ...

Re: Will future strobing tech be suitable for retro gaming?

Higher refresh rate displays are largely irrelevant to retro gaming as the game's framerate needs to match the display refresh rate to take advantage of the motion clarity benefit of the higher refresh rate. There are already LCD displays that will display "perfect" motion clarity by single strobing...

Re: BENQ XL2720Z or EIZO FG2421?

Basically, yes. According to tftcentral's test of the monitor with turbo240 enabled the total display lag is 18 or just over a frame of lag.

Re: BENQ XL2720Z or EIZO FG2421?

I have the fg2421 and i can't live with the contrast of tn panels anymore. The black level is very good and the whites look white without sacrificing contrast as the tn panels i used look pinkish without jacked contrast settings. Nip is partnered with eizo so i would not pay any attention to that. W...

Re: Who can withstand strobing?

CRT monitors used to give me terrible eye strain within a couple of hours no matter the refresh rate. Strobing LCD monitors do not give me any eye strain whatsoever. There was a period where I was using my computer for 10 hours a day minimum every single day and with no eye strain at all. I haven't ...

Re: Why aren't gamers worshipping at the altar of strobing?

all gamers seem to want to do is push for higher and higher static resolutions at 60Hz. I disagree. I think most of them aren't aware. Your average gamer these days doesn't know anything about computers. I've seen people claim how great 144hz is only to find they were running at 60hz. The superiori...

Re: new monitor for gaming Eizo or Benq?????????

why use 1000 hz mouse 500 hz lag? you play cs go? Mouse microstutters at high refresh rate. At 1000hz, the microstutters are virtually non existent. This information is freely available at the website you're at, you can see here http://www.blurbusters.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/mouse-125vs500vs...

Re: new monitor for gaming Eizo or Benq?????????

whaty is input lag for alienwere because if it is 20 better eizo and 16 ms with turbo or not? I'm not so sure about your monitor, I'd have to go digging but according to tftcentral's measurements, the FG2421 has 18ms lag with turbo240 on and 14ms lag with turbo240 off. 14ms is under a frame of lag,...

Re: new monitor for gaming Eizo or Benq?????????

The Eizo Foris FG2421 is an incredibly good monitor. I believe it is the best monitor on the market and that's unlikely to change anytime soon. VA panels contrast ratio and black levels are unmatched by IPS and TN panels. This panel is also incredibly bright. I've read complaints of brightness on ot...

Re: how bad are stutters with lightboost?

After having used low persistence for some time now I can say I'm quite sensitive to stuttering. If you're playing old games, for most old games, I've found stuttering to be non existent. I'm simply able to maintain a minimum framerate at all times with ease and very, very few old games have an engi...
