Re: Doom Eternal - HDR with Adaptive Sync lowers fps
I have a 2080Ti and a GSYNC HDR monitor and I run into performance issues in Doom Eternal with GSYNC + VSYNC enabled. Turning off VSYNC fixes everything and I can still keep GSYNC and HDR enabled with no apparent performance issues. Hopefully this will be fixed sometime in the future since I prefer ...

Re: Panasonic Plasma VT60
I still use my 50" ST30, I'm always annoyed by the double-image blur, BUT it's actualler better than my OLED C7 which has even worse blur. Only C8/C9 or the incoming CX has finally good blur thanks to the optional BFI mode I use Rayman Legends music levels to test the motion blur of a TV (there's a...

Re: Panasonic Plasma VT60
I recently picked up a Panasonic Plasma VT60 which was one of the last great plasma displays released by Panasonic (the only better Panasonic plasma is the ZT60) and I was really impressed with it's motion clarity. Plasma displays refresh their screen differently than LCDs and OLEDs by sending puls...

Re: Panasonic Plasma VT60
SED and FED screens technologies are also very interesting, flat and slim CRT, unfortunately never touch the market, only prototipes :( I have the impression, that if whit modern manufacturing tecniques, one big gaming monitor manufacturer rebird today one of this beast, many were going to stay wit...

Re: Panasonic Plasma VT60
600Hz sub-field drive is good but the disadvantages of sub-field drive are: - 600Hz (for PAL on Europe) doesn't work at 60Hz while 720Hz (for NTSC America, Japan...) not work at 50Hz - micro-stutters and/or artifacts for irregular - examples - horizontal/vertical lines, cross nets ... But plasma is...

Re: LG OLED CX 120Hz BFI
Very informative post! Now I have a better understanding of how rolling scans work. Before I was the least familiar with them out of all the blur reduction methods.

Re: LG OLED CX 120Hz BFI
Disclaimer -- I think this is correct, but if anyone reading this notices an error, please reply with a correction. The 120 Hz black frame insertion won't work with 120 Hz content because the way it works is that it converts every other frame to pure black. Frametime at 60 Hz is ~16.67 milliseconds...

LG OLED CX 120Hz BFI
The new LG OLED TV's set to release this year are going to get a 120Hz BFI mode and I've seen people on other forums who are really looking forward to this feature. I've been wondering how this method of eliminating motion blur might compare to the others out there and if it could be viable for both...

Re: ASUS announces Swift PG27UQ 4K IPS 144Hz G-Sync HDR moni
Turns out the $1199 price was a mistake and it might really be $2000. Hope it's worth the hefty price.
