Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

This weekend I have tried the AOC 24G2Z that Notty claims to be better than all 360 hz+ screens (its only 300 euro, so not that expensive). But this is absolutely not my experience, I could tell it's more responsive and no ghosting issues compared to older models in 240hz category but no where near...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

On this debate about 390Hz being too high of a refresh rate to allow good G2G transitions. Apparently, 360Hz monitors have as good G2G transitions (if not better) as a top-tier 240Hz monitor such as XL2546K ? Apparently, XV252QF is at least as good if not better than 360 Hz monitors? Hence, XV252QF...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

I doubt a 240hz monitor, raw without any vbr or variable refresh rate technique is more responsive and fluid than the Acer on 390hz with 390+ fps. The 2546k is also considered latest TN panel, and people are obviously noticing a diff in favor of the Acer. Maybe it is better in terms of ghosting, mot...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

I have also seen a lot of people say that extreme is surprisingly good on this monitor, considering Acer's extreme mode is typically poor. Overdrive Extreme is not good on this monitor. Normal is what you should be using at high refresh rates. Extreme VRB/TVR (strobe duration) is considered 'good'....

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

I got the HP omen x 25f too. Xv252qf feels more responsive, looks smoother, and my overall stats in either comp PC gaming and ps5 are better. Like someone stated, if u played on a daily basis for over a month on the Acer, going back to 240hz feels like an absolute downgrade. To explain it a bit, wit...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

Also if you are very competitive, and u rely on reaction time, or play hitscan games. Any technique like VRB or VRR will add noticeable input lag. It feels more responsive and snappier with this off and just use overdrive extreme. Other than that it is the best monitor I have ever used and played o...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

Yes. Problem is solved though. It happened (stuck on300hz) after I did reset in osd. I don't know how I actually fixed it but it works. I played around with overclock etc, and as soon as I got 390hz back I never touched it again. And like others said, settings like vrb, are always off after reboot. ...

Re: Acer 390Hz monitor - XV252QF

I'm sure the Acer is better. Especially since it's both IPS. Also 24.5inch > 27inch for competitive fps. And the strobing could benefit u for spray control.
