I think I figured it out. If I left the timing at automatic, it lets me put in whatever hz and the screen is the same pretty much. If I change the timing to manual, it limits me to 122hz, so that seems normal.

I decided to install windows xp professional for gaming reasons (game runs better on it). Here's the thing though, my CRT monitor and graphics card/driver will accept any refresh rate now..
