I wonder if there's any hope for the VG259QM/VG279QM to get ULMB 2

Re: OLED BFI Options?

Ty for the info. May I ask what u gonna do now? I assume u have the XL2566K. U going to upgrade to a ULMB 2 1440P IPS monitor soon? I have the XL2566K I dont really feel the need to sell it and buy a ULMB2 monitor. Optimumtech says in the ULMB2 video he did not really noticed a difference between t...

Re: OLED BFI Options?

I assume these OLEDs will only be able to reach 240Hz with BFI and a 720Hz OLED (360Hz with BFI) is necessary to achieve the same motion clarity as a PG27AQN currently. while maintaining brightness they'd have to chop the refresh rate. But if we're fine with a 50 nit output they could do BFI at ful...

Re: OLED BFI Options?

I think we will have to wait till 480 Hz OLEDs for 240Hz+BFI. Currently, only VR OLEDs (e.g. PSVR2) is capable of hardware based sub-refresh BFI. Is it correct to say that 480Hz OLED displays will have less motion clarity than the current 360Hz IPS with ULMB 2? I assume these OLEDs will only be abl...

Re: ZOWIE XL2566K Discussion Thread [24.5" 360hz TN]

Are the viewing angles on this any better than the XL2456K? The vertical viewing angle was way too distracting for me

Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN

Interesting observation about VG259QM and XL2546K. I have checked reviews of both these monitors on rtings(.com), and response time of Asus 'beats' BENQ in every single way. But your experience explain more. Maybe response time doesn't mean everything..? I'm using VG259QM currently and I am a sever...

Re: I have the new Razer 8000 Hz prototype gaming mouse on my desk.

Given that 1000hz shows inconsistent movement on a 360hz monitor, could it be causing inconsistent engine-side movement in an FPS game at an fps >=360 regardless of the monitor refresh rate?

Is this at 960 pixels/sec? I think I might have just gotten lucky my VG259QM shows much less artifacting than yours
Yes.

Can you record an ufotest to compare your results?

Re: BenQ Zowie XL2546K 240hz TN

I just realized the stutter problem I had on the VG259QM was caused by running 300 fps on 280hz. At 350 or 280 fps motion is just as smooth as the XL2546K. Even with Dyac vs ELMB I don't see any practical visual difference in smoothness/ghosting. Whatever advantages in response time the Zowie has i...
