Re: Looking to buy "overclockable" 1440p IPS
There is also a new overclockable S-IPS 1440p monitor (MOTV M2700) which is supposed to be the fastest IPS out there.
According to the reviewer, it exhibits the least amount of blur out of all of the AHVA/IPS/PLS panels once overclocked.
It uses an 8 Bit LG S-IPS panel and does not use LED PWM ...

Re: XL2411Z V2, my findings so far [settings, VT1500 trick,
Edit nº 3: removed the strobe phase setting. Adjust it as you want (for example 000 or just before it reduces brightness). Changed some VT pixels because at some refresh rates, 1502VT caused some "waves" going up or down in the image . Added 121Hz. It seems like some VT makes the monitor switch to ...

Re: XL2411Z V2, my findings so far [settings, VT1500 trick,
I tested this trick on my XL2420Z v2 and I could go as far as VT1502 Vertical Total @ 129Hz
I tested 130Hz with VT1350 and VT 1502 but i get an out of range signal.
I also noticed that my screen is brighter on 129Hz @ VT1502 than 120Hz @VT1502 which allows me to use 0.5ms Persistence with ...

need advice on getting a new monitor.
I was previously using a laptop (Alienware M17x R3) and I discovered that I could overclock it to 96Hz (it is a 1920x1080 17.3" 60Hz TN panel) and the improvement is very noticeable even on desktop by just moving the mouse around especially when playing games (FPS) but my laptop is aging and can ...
