Re: 8000Hz keyboards, are they needed?
I third the Wooting, if you use Rapid Trigger https://wooting.io/rapid-trigger. Look at this video of someone pressing down a key of a Corsair K70 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjT5AAjsCiU. It's recorded at 240 fps. Each press down takes anywhere from 4 to 10 frames, and the release is ~4-6 frames...

Re: I have been offered an XG250 in replacement for my XG2431.
Hi all , First time poster here, long time lurker/reader. I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to monitor technology, but know enough to trust a monitor that is blur busters approved. I bought an XG2431 less than a year ago and I was loving it, but ended up having to RMA it due to some weird ...

Re: Viper 8Khz Not Running at USB 3.0
Has anyone had connection issues with their Viper 8K? I've had mine for close to a year now, and recently it will randomly disconnect. Windows makes the "USB device unplugged" sound, no mouse buttons work, and the LED on the underside flickers. It will randomly reconnect, anywhere from seconds to ho...

Re: VIDEO mouselook timewarp and positional reprojection (Frame Rate Amplification Tech)
I tried the demo out, it's very impressive. Theoretically could NVIDIA or AMD implement this in their graphics drivers right now to work in any current game? Or would a new API be required?

Re: Should you be worried about 1, 5, or 10 ms of input lag? Use Latency Split Test (LST) and find out!
Neat tool! I can get 100% at 15ms without too much practice on a 240hz monitor with a 2000hz mouse. Some things I noticed: 1. There is an issue with feathering where if you move the mouse slowly pixel by pixel, the line will change thickness. 2. With the Razer Viper 8K, each step up in frequency pro...

Re: Negligible or potentially adding latency?
On the passive-vs-active cable discusson: [...] Where does the extra latency for active repeater cables come from? Does whatever logic to boost the signal really take that long? Related question: do USB hubs add significant latency (assume only 1 input device is connected to the hub)? I want to con...

Re: ViewSonic Now Shipping XG2431 as of NOW!!! [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS]
Just tried using ToastyX and the strobe utility to tune my XG2431. I think the HOWTO guide for QFT should mention that you need to disable FreeSync beforehand, I didn't think to disable it and I kept having to reboot into safe mode until I figured it out. I saw a bug in the strobe utility where it a...

Re: HOWTO: Quick Frame Transport (QFT) - Large Vertical Totals (reduce lag, reduce crosstalk)
You need to either have the resolution be different (like by just 1 pixel), or the refresh rate be different enough as to be detected as a different mode by the GPU driver. For example a 59.94Hz mode for non-QFT 60HZ, and 61Hz for QFT. These should then show up as different modes that you can selec...

Re: HOWTO: Quick Frame Transport (QFT) - Large Vertical Totals (reduce lag, reduce crosstalk)
I don't think I entirely understand custom resolutions. What is the difference between detailed and standard resolutions in ToastyX CRU? Why are there a limited number of slots available? Is it because these resolutions are stored on the monitor? I saw this comment by Chief here that says Generally ...
