Re: RTSS Scanline Sync HOWTO

So I've encountered issue I'm not sure how to solve - framerate/frametime in Serious Sam Syberian Mayhem is too unstable. When using FCAT moving bar in RTSS my tearline ALL over the place, constantly moving up-> down even when FPS seeming stable (you cant get SS:SM stable, its FPS ALWAYS fluctuates ...

Re: Is it true Ryzen has higher input lag than Intel? Is there conclusive data to prove this?

mind if you show some links for that? https://images.anandtech.com/doci/16214/CC5950X.png Inter-ccd communication is still very slow. But honestly, the core to core latency within the ccd looks quite nice, so one ccd processors like the 5800x might not be too bad. Memory latency is still pretty bad...

Re: RTSS Scanline Sync HOWTO

I am not talking about vertical refresh rate; I'm talking about horizontal refresh rate. Oh, my bad, read it wrong. Mathematically, overclocking is just bandwidth bitbucket mathematics, assuming the firmware is VBI-size-insensitve. So, VT1092 80Hz (1092x80 = 87360, the scanrate) means at 72Hz, you ...

Re: RTSS Scanline Sync HOWTO

I wonder if it just simpler to use FastSync since I have no issues with keeping up frame pace steady and FPS high. However, at only 87.36KHz horizontal scanrate, the tearline jitter may be fairly low, especially in games that use less than 50% GPU. I cant have any leeway with refresh rate since this...

Re: RTSS Scanline Sync HOWTO

What about SyncScanLine1 for twice framerate versus refresh rate?: - If unfamiliar with this, keep SyncScanLine1 setting to 0. Worry only about one tearline (SyncScanLine0 or via GUI) - Even if you do this, please do the easy stuff first before attempting this If your game is ultra-low GPU (e.g. Qu...

Wait for reviews. I will, however, bet the 5K series will be a beast of a chip.
Tells nothing about the latency so yeah, reviews is a must.

Re: The Official *Asus VG259QM* Owners Thread (+ Secret Overdrive)

High nits value at 0 brightness really killed my interest and excitement in this monitor. Why every modern hi-refresh rate display has such high low brightness?

I also want manufacturers to use overdrive sliders (100 settings) rather than 2 or 3 or 4 Overdrive settings. I think the reason they dont do that is to reduce the amount of testing, if you have set up of 20/60/80/100 you just have main 4 passes, but with step of 1, 1-100scale that becomes 100 main...
