I don't see documentation from Acer stating the monitor is either or, but from what I can see - I would say this is an 8 bit panel. I've owned 6 bit+FRC monitors before and the color reproduction on this Acer panel is FAR better than any 6 bit+FRC I've seen.0134RY73 wrote:Is it a true 8 bit panel or 6 bit+FRC

Re: Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144hz
How is 27 inch at 1080P? looking around the internet there are a lot of mixed feelings! now if Acer was to make a 24 inch version of this monitor I would buy it, but 1080p at 27 inches i am not very keen :( Sit further away from the monitor... Problem solved. I personally own this monitor, I got it...

Re: G-Sync causing Battlefield 4 crashes
I'm not sure if this is relevant to this thread, but keep in mind that Rivatuner causes bf4 to crash if you are using the 64 bit version of bf4.
try to change your bf4 settings to 32 bit and see if that helps. I noticed many osd apps give bf4 trouble.

Re: 2 easy ways to LIMIT the FRAMERATE in games
The only issue I have with frame limiters like Rivatuner is the gpu down-clocks itself to run at those frames... So when I go from low visual activity to high visual activity, there is a frame drop and then the gpu has to crank itself back up to make up for that frame drop. I can notice stutter whe...

Re: 2 easy ways to LIMIT the FRAMERATE in games
I'd like to see this input-lag through a test if anybody can conduct such a test. The only issue I have with frame limiters like Rivatuner is the gpu down-clocks itself to run at those frames... Re: 2 easy ways to LIMIT the FRAMERATE in games
You want to be running in 144hz as a max refresh, but cap at ~120fps or something with rivatuner or engine level (if there is one). If you run in 120hz mode, you will get vsync type input lag when you hit 120 fps I'd like to see the test that proves this... Has someone proven that vsync is enabled ...

Re: Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144hz
For those considering buying this monitor - here is a quick demo of the display. This is running at 120hz refresh rate (50/50/gaming/warm).

Re: 2 easy ways to LIMIT the FRAMERATE in games
If I'm wrong has anybody conducted a test recently that disproves me? It would seem really silly for Nvidia to implement this technology to replace v-sync and have the driver enable v-sync at max fps. The tests have been done and indicate there is input lag. Also, yes I notice the frame rate seems ...

Re: 2 easy ways to LIMIT the FRAMERATE in games
I would like to chime back into this topic. I've used G-sync on both the ROG Swift and the new ACER 27 inch 1080p g-sync monitor. On both monitors it appears the g-sync driver automatically limits the GPU's FPS to "1" under the cap. So if I'm set to 144hz refresh rate, I don't exceed 143 FPS in game...

Re: Acer XB270HA 27" 1080p 144hz
Mine just arrived. First, I am moving from a midrange acer 60hz monitor. Pros: -This monitor had very good colors out of the box and only tweaked the brightness, contrast, and gamma to my liking. - the move to 144 hz is astounding - great height adjustment (16.1 inches at its lowest), swivel (easy ...
