Re: ViewSonic XG2431 Discussion Thread [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS with Best Strobing]

Is there a single setting for strobe utility and crs LVT you can use on all XG2431? For 120HZ and 60HZ to get good cross talk across the entire screen? Anybody has a setting I could just copy? I don't believe there's a single good setting that works across all refresh rates. Just crank up your vert...

Re: ViewSonic OMNI XG2431 24

I have the XG2431 for 2 years now since April 2022. Seems like there was a bad batch with poor quality control. Sorry to hear about your experience. The only bug with my monitor is that it mutes audio when you switch input. I wouldn't recommend this monitor at all unless you plan to use it for retro...

You're right, ghosting is a continuum. It's not just a matter of having G2G fitting in a refresh cycle or not. Our eyes are, after all, not digital. Thank you, Chief. You are ever the most informative.

Re: If a monitors response times are slower than refresh rate

If the pixels don't transition quickly enough from one color to the next within a refresh window, you could say that the refresh rate is "fake". There's nothing special about 240hz or 360hz that would exclude ghosting. Some monitors have faster response times than others given a refresh rate. Don't ...

Re: V-SYNC

I know what you mean. Some games have poor vsync implementation or interact with it weirdly. I played Saints Row 4 and sometimes the game just judders for no reason. If you use Black Frame Insertion, it's even more noticeable for games with buggy vsync. There were times when the motion would still b...

I hope someday there'll be a monitor that combines decent HDR with BFI. As of this moment, I refuse to have blurriness in my games ever again even if the colors are prettier. Thank you to the Chief and his team for certifying the XG2431.

Re: ULMB 2 Released

Can anyone confirm if ULMB 2 is available at lower refresh rates besides 360hz? There's something here: https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11936&start=10#p94246 At least 120hz works. Wonder what the quality is. Interesting. It seems Nvidia went two steps forward and one step back. I...

Re: ULMB 2 Released

I know that you can shift the gamma when you enable BFI so some colors may get crushed or blown out. I had experience with this for the XL2411P

Re: ULMB 2 Released

Nvidia claims they have achieved 1ms/1000hz motion clarity. I didn't think it would come so soon. I hope someone is able to do a test on these monitors to see if there are any crosstalks and ghosting. Still sticking with the XG2431 since it is currently the only (good) monitor with 60hz BFI.
