Possible to reduce VRR flicker on WOLED panels using software?
So I saw the TFT central article talking about how the gamma is tied to the frame rate on WOLED panels which leads to the VRR flicker as the FPS raises and falls, would it be possible to do an effect on the frames in real time to counter act the change in gamma to minimize the flicker or would this ...

Re: G-SYNC Pulsar: Blur Reduction or Black Frame Injection in cojunction with Variable Refresh Rate or Adaptive Sync
I'm both excited they are doing it and disappointed when the PG27AQN doesn't get a firmware update for it because the hardware is missing.
I am actually genuinely really curious to why ULMB2 and this new Pulsar tech is so restrictive. Is it really needed? Or can it be done and they just don't ...

Re: Headaches of the Asus PG27AQN from an Asus XG27AQMR owner
I found that using https://github.com/kwizatz88/GsyncSwitch is better than accessing the slow nvcp. Going to hop on visual studio next week to see if I can modify this to apply Gsync on/off + pick specific refresh in one shot rather than having to flicker the screen on and off twice (with two ...

Re: Headaches of the Asus PG27AQN from an Asus XG27AQMR owner
Still having a weird issue where I set "Fixed refresh" on a per game basis it automatically sets vsync to "3D application controlled" but no matter what I do with the in game settings, Vsync doesn't turn on. Still have to use scan line sync from riva for it.

Re: Headaches of the Asus PG27AQN from an Asus XG27AQMR owner
Is there a way to consistently set the full screen hz? For example when in NVCP I set league of legends to fixed refresh, it automatically sets Vsync to "3D application" and preferred refresh rate to "application controlled" which for some reason in league it defaults to 240 hz (which I want) but ...

Re: Have Asus XG27AQMR 300 hz
The XL2566k will give you miles better motion clarity than this monitor hands down. The XG27AQMR is for a more casual audience that want backlight strobing at the same time as Gsync for very minor improvements to clarity. If you want best in class motion clarity you go for the xl2566k or the asus ...

Re: Headaches of the Asus PG27AQN from an Asus XG27AQMR owner
So far your suggestion is holding up. Yea I figured it must have been a bandwidth limit, I never thought I'd see the day I say "I wish this had hdmi 2.1" lol but here we are. Luckily I usually only use 8 bit colors anyways since most games I play don't really benefit or even support higher colors ...

Re: Headaches of the Asus PG27AQN from an Asus XG27AQMR owner
Do you happen to know what the "Soft controls" option exposed through DDC VPC codes is? Trying to programmatically change between two inputs but I can't seem to do so using my DDC app for that, only brightness and contrast so far.

Re: Headaches of the Asus PG27AQN from an Asus XG27AQMR owner
The ULMB option in NVCP works and switches between Gsync and ULMB with less issues as long as you use the monitor at 240 hz with DSC turned off, the moment DSC gets turned on it starts having all these issues. Maybe I'll try using the fixed refresh option and see if that works better.
