Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV

Thanks, hopefully the firmware updates makes this range usable.

I am awaiting this too!

I'll report my findings once I've got a sample working with a 60Hz-compatible firmware.

For those who can't wait; the important deets which I obviously will write in my obvious "60fps Pulsar" tests ...

Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV

Back to the COLORS of these monitors! ANYONE!? Anyone who's actually used one of them?

How do they stack against OLED?

How do they stack against TN?

These are RELEVANT things to be talking about in the #1 resource for discussing these new Pulsar monitors currently on the internet.

I have ...

Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV

Will probably somewhat of an unpopular opinion going against the wind here, but I think that the race to monitors reaching crazy high refresh rates is unsustainable (think 500+ but I would put it at 240/360+ even) for the sake of motion clarity and Pulsar is excellent technology for alleviating ...

Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV

I can confirm
1. Pulsar keeps pulsing 360 hz if you have vsync off and are rendering more than 360 hz
2. If it dips from above 360 to below 360 the transition is smooth with no visible flicker to my eye

For #3, there was a review that compared the 2 and said the 540 hz ULMB 2 looks clearer but ...

Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV

I played league on my wife's 240 hz OLED monitor and it felt so bad to view league so blurry panning the camera around at 240 fps @_@ My eyes really didn't like it after being so used to seeing league on pulsar.

Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV

How does pulsar look like with 2x framegen on a 60 or 30 fps game?

Pulsar looks good in some games when you use frame gen. Pulsar is so good at making the display look clear that it shows frame gen ghosting/artifacts clearly as well. Some games look really smooth with frame gen with little ...

Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV

I think nvidia should enable Gsync pulsar through the nvidia app/ nvidia control panel per application/game because you might not want to enable pulsar all the time (like desktop for example) or games that simply don't have a consistent enough frame rate where the constant blurring in and out causes ...

Re: NVIDIA G-Sync Pulsar monitor - Asus ROG Strix XG27AQNGV

The crosstalk looks bad only while Gsync pulsar is compensating for the FPS to stabilize, the moment the FPS is stable, it looks incredibly clear.
