Re: Comparing 360Hz to 480Hz on CSGO by Denonic

Even if NOT all games can do the framerate, there are still pros even for framerates well below 240fps: - LAG - 100fps at 240Hz is generally lower lag than 100fps at 144Hz - BETTER VSYNC OFF - 100fps at 240Hz has less tearing than 100fps at 144Hz. Tearlines visible only for 1/240sec not 1/144sec. I...

Re: Comparing 360Hz to 480Hz on CSGO by Denonic

Is the GtG of this monitor quick enough to not hide the benefits of 480 Hz ? My short answer from what I observed, there's always some benefit in going higher Hz. The monitor I modified had a 1ms GTG. ZisWorks kits don't have any extra processing so there isn't adjustable overdrive. But from the im...

Re: G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!

Finally got this to work with the BenQ XL2420G. So the steps I took were: 1) Create a Custom resolution at 120Hz with 1 or 2 pixels LESS on the horizontal number so mine was 1918 rather than 1920. (More would never actually let me set the resolution after creating it). 2) Turn off Gsync and Turn on ...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

I know it's pretty specific but you should try games/modes that really take advantage of the extra refresh, a single player game story game isn't quite the same as speedrunning HL, Bhopping in CS:S/Gmod or playing Quake Live. In those games the wow factor really extends for me and leaves me wanting...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Denonic: Sorry to bother you, but were you able to tell them about the request for *60hz* (or 50hz-90hz via custom resolution) single strobing for the XL2735? It can be added by a simple service menu option just like on the previous blur reduction monitors. Yes. I asked and I wouldn't get my hopes ...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

What is your subjective feeling on the 240Hz thing? Is the difference hugely noticable vs 120/144Hz? Is there any "wow" factor like when jumping from 60Hz to 120/144Hz? Will go into depth about it in the write up but no there is not quite the same wow factor. Most visual improvement comes in the fo...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Please try test by the description at top http://testufo.com/#test=mprt and tell us persistence. 240fps@240Hz will have half the motion blur of 120fps@120Hz. Basically, 4.1ms of motion blur. That's only twice as much motion blur as LightBoost default (~2ms) -- but with zero strobing! Mate.... 4.1ms...
