Re: Any no-compromises upgrade from BenQ XL2720Z in 2023?
This thread is something I'd like to also ask about. I currently have x3 XL2720's all running in a triple-monitor configuration 2x at 120HZ and one at 60HZ, all single-strobing with high VT's and the Low AMA Tweak for better image clarity. I love the Size of the 27", and that it's only 1080p means I...

Re: Benq Service/Factory Menus, VT tweaks, XLX2720Z AMA Low
So, I've been noticing lately that my XL2720Z has had a serious reduction in fine-detail clarity since I reapplied the VT tweaks. It just dawned on me that in the nvidia control panel it is showing the output color format as YCbCr422 (though still showing 8 bit), meaning 4:2:2 chroma. When I switch...

Re: 27" IPS monitors that can strobe at 75Hz (ULMB or whatever)
It's hard to want to go to the XG270 because it doesn't single strobe at 60hz Agreed. Although for PC gaming it's actually becoming less and less of a problem. With the 3080 I can run pretty much all games at 1080p @ 75Hz. And at this point in time I actually own only one game that needs to be run ...

Re: 27" IPS monitors that can strobe at 75Hz (ULMB or whatever)
The old 2014 BenQ XL2720Z in 27" and can single strobe form 60hz to 240hz. I should perhaps have mentioned that I have 3 of those already. The only real downside are the really thick bezels. The Viewsonic XG270 looks like a good 27" alternative since it has really thin bezels, and since I can...

Re: 27" IPS monitors that can strobe at 75Hz (ULMB or whatever)
Ah thanks guys. I know about the XG2431 but I'd want a 27 inch monitor. Hopefully one will exist in the near future that has both 60Hz strobing and is 27 inches (and 1440p or 1080p). Yeah I know the odds are slim of a 1080p IPS monitor like that. I'm running simulators in triple screen you see, and...

Re: ViewSonic Now Shipping XG2431 as of NOW!!! [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS]
Are there Pursuit pictures of this 60hz mode? and how about the 120hz mode? How does it compare to the XG270.. with high Vertical Totals? Why arent there any comprehensive reviews or pursuit photos out yet? XG2431 was so tight in shipping quantities until recently, and ViewSonic held back review un...

Re: ViewSonic Now Shipping XG2431 as of NOW!!! [Blur Busters Approved XG2431 - 24" 240Hz IPS]
If you don't mind 60Hz flicker for the best-in-class 60Hz motion blur reduction -- then XG2431 is currently the gold standard in "60Hz CRT emulating" direct-view LCD on the market at the moment at three-figure prices. I've never seen a desktop LCD mimick the motion clarity of a 60Hz CRT as well as ...

Re: BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz
it may be a firmware thing where the later firmware patched it, or it could be tied to your manufacturing date of the monitor?
you could try patching the firmware back to v002? idk if that would work

Re: BenQ UNIVERSAL 144Hz->220Hz OVERCLOCK for 1080p 144 Hz
So i've got 3x XL2720z monitors in my setup, 2 of them are capable of 250hz at 1080p, but the third one i recently acquired.. is unable to show anything past 165hz.. any ideas why? it simply shows a black screen. 17k hours, V3 firmware, 250hz 3k hours, V7 firmware, 250hz 1.8k hours, v5 firmware, 165...
