Re: Disappointed in my new monitor
It's a VA panel. It will have more motion blur than a TN or a fast IPS. When buying a VA panel, you sacrifice some motion sharpness for better contrast. No amount of overclocking will improve your pixel response time. In fact, it would most probably make it worse. About the "1ms" you see advertised ...

Re: Properly set 30 FPS with good frametime - what about Vsync?
With 1/2 vsync this cannot happen, as the GPU will force the frame to wait for the correct 16.7ms mark (there's two of them.) Okey, I understand. But what is the difference between normal Vsync and 1/2 Vsync in situation where framerate is capped? I thought that even with normal Vsync (and with 30F...

Re: Properly set 30 FPS with good frametime - what about Vsync?
Exactly this thing wondered me - why people recommend to use 1/2 Vsync instead of "normal" Vsync when framerate is capped. Because a normal frame limiter is not accurate enough to present each frame at exactly the right moment. So very often, you get a stutter here and there. With 1/2 vsync this ca...

How do I even go about changing this? You can create an EDIT override with CRU. Move the high Hz mode you want from the extension block and add it as the first mode in the "detailed resolutions" block. You should be able to cut and paste the modes I think. If not, copy and paste into detailed resol...

Check the EDID of the monitors with ToastyX CRU. See if the primary display mode is 60Hz maybe. Some monitors have their highest Hz as the first mode, some have a 60Hz mode as the first one. With some games, Windows (or the GPU driver?) seems to select the primary mode (first one listed in the EDID.)

Re: Scanline sync - Input Lag tests
What I'm doing now is using FIFA's "60fps limit" and VSYNC FAST on the nvidia panel, along with freesync on. My FPS in matches is locked at 210/220 very stable. Would it be that with the RTSS limited to 230 the input lag would be less, or very similar? Because it is more convenient to leave it conf...

Re: Scanline sync - Input Lag tests
Hello friend, I'm having problems with FIFA 21. I'm getting 350fps + in-game on a 240hz monitor. I happen to be having micro stutterings, the screen is not as fluid as it was before I changed my processor yesterday. I traded a Ryzen 7 3700x for a Ryzen 7 5800x. My video card is an RTX 2070 and I ha...

Re: How do I eliminate frametime spikes from FPS drops (Gsync)
Some things i already did: Your list of things you tried doesn't mention g-sync + frame limiting, which is the TLDR of this thread. Another issue can arise when using two monitors. So try this: disconnect your secondary monitor. Reboot. Make sure the game uses 144Hz + gsync (check the monitor's OSD...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion
I'm using Outer Worlds as an example. In the settings for OW I can only limit to 144 so I think I need to use an FPS limiter I think you can find the relevant ini file of the game and set t.MaxFPS=140. I have MSI afterburner installed for my GPU fan curve so maybe I can tie it in there somehow... Y...
