Re: Inherent click delay found in mice.
nope but i tried a few times to make sure i had none >170ms :p anyway i think the "clickiness" of the mouse could affect our response time by maybe up to 10ms. simply because in some mice more physical movement is needed to click the button. too bad the g302's shape is retarded I was curious how ac...

Re: Inherent click delay found in mice.
Open source mouse please :D I've had that idea, but there are a lot of things that require capital, like all the injection molding, and getting access to a lot of different sensors and surfaces for testing. Know someone with a huge variety of mice to frankenstein together? Pretty ignorant, but is i...

Re: VSync, GSync, Frame Rate Caps and Laptop Refresh Rates
1: If you have v-sync on with a 60hz monitor, your framerate will never exceed 60fps, a 70fps framerate cap would do nothing. If you can sustain 60fps you'll get some extra input lag, if you cant, you'll get judder and extra input lag. 2: If you have a g-sync monitor and gpu, and use a framerate cap...

Re: Inherent click delay found in mice.
So, I reconfigured my arduino micro to use all 4 interrupt pins(two per throw), and gathered some data. Here's an example of a single "normal" click: http://pastebin.com/8n9zFHCV big number = microsecond timer. 0= rising edge on normally high throw = definitely released 1= falling edge on normally h...

Re: Inherent click delay found in mice.
anywhere from about 0.7 to 4 ms. Keep in mind this is just a microswitch stuck on a breadboard, it's not under a mouse button, so it's hard to replicate "normal".flood wrote:how many ms difference did you measure for a normal click?

Re: Inherent click delay found in mice.
Ok, after a bit of testing, I get a couple ms lower latency by switching to the open when pressed throw, but you register a click before pushing the switch past it's snap threshold, so you can register a click without actually clicking. That said, you can use the second throw for very reliable debou...

Re: Inherent click delay found in mice.
I recently had one of the microswitches in my mouse fail (Omron D2FC-F-7N in CM storm spawn), and got to thinking a bit. These are double throw switches, and my mouse only uses the normally open throw. How big a difference does it make if the other throw is used instead? It should be slightly less l...

Re: First AMD FreeSync Capable Monitor Arrives – $170 Cheape
at best its no better performance-wise but cheaper and more compatiblr at worst it's like using vsync at all framerates At best, AMD grabs some low hanging fruit that Nvidia missed: Estimating when the next frame will be ready and pulling the forced refresh forward, in order to avoid judder in the ...
