Re: How do I setup GSync properly?

Ive got my 2nd GSync monitor recently and I see alot of different options on how to setup GSync up properly, as of now I have those settings & was wondering if I did it correct; Optimal G-SYNC settings are kept up-to-date and available for repeat reference here: https://www.blurbusters.com/gsync/gs...

Re: What am I seeing/experiencing? VA panel

Playing Farcry 1. Overdrive off, normal or extreme. With or without a cap at 162hz. Gsync on or off. Facing a wall. Between me and the wall is an object. If I turn slowly the object leaves pixels behind it. They are colored blacl like the object. This is ghosting I think. This is because the pixel ...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

I also would love to know how my design compares with RTSS, nobody in my userbase has the hardware to do FCAT analysis. My current high-speed setup can't test for frametime performance, but I can get an input lag baseline with relatively few samples. I recently did a couple of (very) casual tests c...

Re: GSync and Double/Triple buffering in WoW

Should I OC to 160hz or higher even if I can't reach that FPS consistently? This depends on the monitor model and how well it overclocks, as well as how well it implements overdrive with the overclock; some models exhibit increased overdrive artifacts when overclocked. Also, if running Gsync + Vsyn...

Re: GSync and Double/Triple buffering in WoW

So you can disable v-sync in game, but enable triple buffering at the same time. They do not fall under the same category of options. If that's how it's setup in that game, those should only apply when V-SYNC is enabled. So the double buffer in-game option + in-game OR NVCP V-SYNC should work fine ...

Re: GSync and Double/Triple buffering in WoW

I guess my question is: which one should I select? Double or triple buffering? Or is there another way to disable it completely Always double buffer with G-SYNC. For games that force V-SYNC like this, you can leave the V-SYNC option for the game profile on "Use 3D application setting" in the NVCP, ...

Re: "3fps below refresh rate" on non-gsync monitors

Thanks, I saw it already. Was wondering about vsync(and all iterations) completely off with in-game framelimiter on. Oh, you're talking about standalone V-SYNC OFF (I initially misread). Yeah, the only reason you want a FPS limit in that scenario where input lag is directly concerned, is to prevent...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

Hi guys, sorry for asking this probably again but I'm not english so I have problems to understand the v-sync part. Is it better to activate it in the NVCP or not? I have a 144hz g-sync compatible screen and playing fortnite limited to 141 hz. Thanks in advance 99% of the time, it is fine to either...

Re: "3fps below refresh rate" on non-gsync monitors

Hey, I am wondering do I need to cap my fps at 3 below refresh rate when I am using normal non gsync/fastsync monitor and I have vsync off? Fixed refresh syncing methods require different configurations (the -3 minimum FPS limit does not apply). See this article for low-lag V-SYNC methods: https://...
