Re: Driver 441.08: Ultra-Low Latency Now with G-SYNC Support

It's basically just a "lazy mode" from Nvidia which is why they recommend it instead of trying to explain to people why they should cap their framerate. Or for those rare games that you can't cap the framerate in, haven't stumbled upon one yet though. Pretty much. So long as you can sustain the fra...

Re: Driver 441.08: Ultra-Low Latency Now with G-SYNC Support

Reason I'm so confused about latency mode is because of Battlenonsense testing: [...] Ultra latency mode gives higher input lag even though it "autocaps" FPS. But when GPU load is high then Ultra is better.. So I thought setting Ultra globally for casual games with an FPS cap for DX12 games (since ...

Re: Driver 441.08: Ultra-Low Latency Now with G-SYNC Support

Battlenonsense finds the new NVIDIA FRL perform as well as RTSS in BFV and Fortnite: https://youtu.be/W66pTe8YM2s In the games he tested, that indeed seems to be the case. I've recently updated my Optimal G-SYNC Settings to reflect this info. That said, there may still be some kinks for Nvidia to w...

So now the optimal setup is G-SYNC + V-SYNC (NVCP) + LLM "On" w/141 FPS Limit (NVCP)

Or should I change something?

Re: G-Sync above 240 Hz - Why use V-Sync?

The monitor is on the list I believe, they just have a very weird naming scheme. Some numbers just vary even though there's only one 25" model on the Acer website: https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/models/monitors/nitroxf2. In the list you'll find a XF250Q Cbmiiprx instead of a XF252Q Xbmiiprzx...

Re: G-Sync above 240 Hz - Why use V-Sync?

Yes, I set it to on, sorry. Gotcha. The monitor is a Acer Nitro XF252Q. It's only G-Sync compatible. I also tested lower FPS caps now. According to the ingame FPS counter the game always respects the cap completely. According to my monitors counter the HZ number fluctuates wildly around it. If I se...

Re: G-Sync above 240 Hz - Why use V-Sync?

Very detailed answers, thanks! I'll go with the recommended G-Sync + V-Sync + 237 cap + NULL then. I actually recommend G-SYNC + V-SYNC + 237 FPS limit + Low Latency Mode "On" (not "Ultra") if you're using an FPS limiter: https://www.blurbusters.com/gsync/gsync101-input-lag-tests-and-settings/14/ I...

Re: League of Legends VRR how to?

Hi. Aknowledged the -3 fps + vsync on stuff, there's a problem with this game. Vsync ON from NVCPL doesn't work. FPS won't be capped. Vsync ON from the game works, should i use this instead? Is it double buffer or triple? Or opt for like 138 fps vsync off? Thanks. Just to add, you need to make sure...

Re: G-Sync above 240 Hz - Why use V-Sync?

I've seen the interesting test's blur busters did on G-Sync + V-Sync. I don't really get why I'd want to turn on V-Sync in the fist place though. So far I have seen literally 0 screen tearing (mb I missed it, but it's minor either way) with only G-Sync enabled. Regarding G-SYNC + V-SYNC, read entry...

Re: Driver 441.08: Ultra-Low Latency Now with G-SYNC Support

^ Too early to say for certain, but we do have precedence (at least with G-SYNC) from my earlier (non-official) tests of NULL here: https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?p=45250#p45250 With G-SYNC, I'm assuming the input lag levels are similar to NULL (probably tapping into the same limiting ...
