Re: 1080p monitor w/ XBOX One X since update

This one is easy! Samsung C24FG73 144hz Curved 24 inch 1080p monitor. Great monitor, as long as you stick to 120hz with Low Input Lag mode activated. Never ever try 60hz on it tho, because the input lag is huge as the "Low Input Lag" option gets greyed out at 60hz (no one knows why, they fixed it vi...

Re: Alienware AW2518HF Freesync blue-tinted ghosting at 240h

Hi, So i got this monitor on wednesday, I'm using it with DP cable and its on the standard preset, normal response time setting and with 75% brightness and 75% contrast. I have come across some ghosting that becomes more noticeable once you go over 201hz where the corona takes on a blue-tint as you...

Re: Closest potential 1440p 240hz monitor release dates?

do you really want 1440p 240hz? 1080p 240hz offers better motion clarity than 1440p 240hz, because the trail is gonna be smaller. The higher the resolution the more hz you need to have comparable motion clarity. So me personally I would always prefer 1080p 240hz for moving images. Resolutions are a ...

Re: Visible advantages of higher refresh rate on windows

I would add Less eye strain aswell. Sure is just my personal experience, but could apply to other users! I notice that when I do a lot of text and web browsing on 60hz I get eye strain and a bit of motion sickness sometimes. As soon as I go to 120hz I feel like a "relief" on my eyes and brain ,wich ...

Re: Discuss the upcoming generation (August+) 2018 monitors

Personally only interested on the Asus XG248Q 240hz monitor, already available for pre order in my country. Waiting for reviews on input lag and 60hz behaviour too.

Re: My alienware aw2518hf is (maybe not) frameskipping, help

Fair enough! Enjoy your monitor! I have Asus PG258Q and AlienWare model, the Alienware model is the fastest monitor input lag wise, from all the 240hz monitors I tested. THe Asus one has the best pixel response time and overshoot/overdrive settings. For competitive play I think the AlienWare model i...

Re: My alienware aw2518hf is frameskipping please help.

A couple of weeks ago i bought the alienware aw2518hf 240z monitor, i opted for the non g-sync one as i only want to use this for competitive gaming and it was a surprising 200 squid cheaper than the g sync model, but after a post about the monitor frameskipping when using a nvidia gpu caught my at...

Re: Question: Input Lag Gradient Effects of Top/Center/Botto

THe input lag measure method was Leo Bodnar. You can check it here: https://www.prad.de/wp-content/uploads/2017/0802/asus-pg258q-monitor-Latenz_asus_rog-456x300.jpg This is for Asus PG258Q. Meanwhile the usual numbers are like "3ms - 10ms - 17ms" for example. This is what I find odd. Also this Asus ...

Re: Question: Input Lag Gradient Effects of Top/Center/Botto

Thank you very much, your knowledge is fantastic! However I still didn´t understand something. I understoog how the screen behaves when strobed, but what I notice is that even without strobing on a Gsync monitor, the image seems to appear all at once without blur. Happens on the Asus PG258Q I have a...
