Re: FSO vs. Exclusive Fullscreen

For Apex you need to figure out how to turn off FSE as well, it forces on now when you turn it off via .exe or registry. You mean Disable FSO (plus other things) so that you are in FSE. Mine runs in FSE fine and yes, I do notice a difference. What version of windows do you have? How do you understa...

Re: Micro-stuttering / hitch & Frametime spikes issue

Yes, we are talking about practically the same thing. There are 3 options. 1. Stuttering occurs at the time of the first read from the ssd, but there is no stuttering when reading from the memory again. 2. Stuttering occurs at the time of the first reading from ssd and also re-reading from the RAM. ...

Re: Micro-stuttering / hitch & Frametime spikes issue

OK. an hour and a half playing for the side of the terrorists with a blue sword. And I got to this place. (with a save file, I wouldn't have aged 1.5 hours :( ). I usually play single-player games at frequency 3.7. And you are right, stuttering cards are unacceptable in that place (jerking back and ...

Re: Micro-stuttering / hitch & Frametime spikes issue

If it's not difficult for you, please give me the save files (of this location in the game). I want to see it with my own eyes. Anyway, frametime spike tolerance, and the definition of "acceptable" and "unacceptable" frametime peformance varies highly depending on the individual, it seems. Yes, no ...

Re: Micro-stuttering / hitch & Frametime spikes issue

Also, you mentioned that UE3 is bad with streaming assets in open world titles, guess UE4 is the same, as I've been playing Jedi: Fallen Order, and getting constant hitches/stutters when loading new areas/streaming assets - and that's not even a true open world game! They don't even do a good job a...

Re: How to optimize Windows 10 for Low Input Lag?

league of legends The freesync + mbr example is more suitable for people who know what I'm talking about. For example those who used gsync + ulmb. And these people are well aware of the shortcomings of this bundle. This is a great indicator of volatile input. It doesn't matter which synchronization ...

Re: How to optimize Windows 10 for Low Input Lag?

Several years ago I used the freesync + mbr hack. And so that the monitor does not flicker from the backlight flashes. I had to lick the system. And the lower the value in latencymon, the less often these annoying outbreaks occurred.

Re: How to optimize Windows 10 for Low Input Lag?

If you change xhci. the keyboard will not work in bios but will work in win. Reset BIOS will help. I managed to turn off "USB legacy support" and "XHCI legacy support" and everything worked in full UEFI mode, but I didn't notice any benefits, so it wasn't worth experimenting with these options. :lo...

Re: How to optimize Windows 10 for Low Input Lag?

Also, on some systems like mine (Asus Hero X), you cannot disable HPET in the BIOS. Unless I'm missing something, disabling HPET in dev mgr, deleting useplatformclock, enabling useplatformtick should achieve the same/similar results. FYI, I also enable disabledynamictick . This is a modified BIOS f...

Re: TIP: Always put high-Hz keyboard and high-Hz mouse on SEPARATE DEDICATED USB CHIPS.

Installing w7. Windows 7 generally has lower latency as well as superior polling compared to w10. Dual boot is usually ideal. (Go down to the misc links in the calypto guide for instructions on how to install w7 on modern mobo) This is another myth. Results on win10 do not differ in any way. It all...
