Re: G-SYNC and mouse cursor
By 1/240hz panel scanout do you mean even with gsync at a lower framerate the panel is still scanning out at max 240hz? Correct, for a 240Hz GSYNC/FreeSync monitor, all framerates are scanning-out in 1/240sec. Also it's not necessary to use RTSS capping with an emulator. Emulators are self capping ...

Re: G-SYNC and mouse cursor
That's an unusually low cap, albiet it has pros. (A) G-SYNC 240Hz + using 100fps cap = creates a defacto Quick Frame Transport mode (one that is much easier than RTSS Scanline Sync), basically a 100Hz mode with a 1/240sec panel scanout velocity. (B) Capping to a lower frame rate can fix lag consist...

Re: G-SYNC and mouse cursor
I have a 240hz gsync and I bought it when I had just bought my first gaming PC, not really sure about anything. I lock my FPS to 100 on shooters and I just use it max refresh and all syncs off, playing online at that refresh on competitive shooters it still adds too much latency when other people ar...

Re: Gsync is doing something weird to FSO
That's normal. With FSO, when there's no Windows UI elements on the screen (like the volume bar), g-sync gets activated just like with classic exclusive fullscreen. But when you alt+tab or a UI element like the volume needs to be displayed, the Windows DWM gets activated as if you were running in w...

Re: Help identifying Gsync/monitor issue (faulty monitor/gpu
This post slipped my radar (apologies!), but have you fixed this yet? Fixed-position vertical issues like these are typically RMA. Vertical bands that never move horizontally -- such as being affected by window draggin -- like this one may be a result of a defective LVDS ribbon cable that attached ...

Gsync is doing something weird to FSO
I'm not sure if its something wrong with my monitor or some update has caused it. With Gsync on in games if you use the volume or tab out it flickers black like it would with full screen optimisation off, but its set on. Also if I change the volume, the volume bar comes up over the game like it woul...

Re: Monitor Recommendations
Oh! The C F G series. Yes, that's the one. If you get that, the -73 is definitely the newer/better version than the -70 of which early versions were known for their purple ghosting haze problem. Yes I remember reading that was the updated version that fixed some kind of purple ghosting. The monitor...

Re: Monitor Recommendations
Just realised these are the 1440p monitors.Chief Blur Buster wrote:There's no 24 inch version of the improved CHG monitor -- which model 24" monitor was this?
It was the C24FG73, basically the same as the ones above but 1080p.

Help identifying Gsync/monitor issue (faulty monitor/gpu?)
I've posted a few times about having input lag trying to use my monitor (XB252Q) and I am slowly getting somewhere but still I'm not sure what is happening with the settings I'm trying out. I use Fortnite to jump in and out of because its quick and I can easily tell if input lag is present. (Always ...
