Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

megatone, I tried 144hz and it seems ok, don't know about 120. 165 will give the fastest response time. Why do you want to use lower than 165? Your card will work. Don't worry about defective pixel, haven't heard anyone complaining about dead pixels with this monitor. Battlenonsense has a video usin...

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

m4gg0t, no idea, can't see a review for that Acer.
Specs are the same except Acer has G-Sync module wich makes it more expensive.
The Acer should be fast so the difference might be in how overdrive looks.

Megatone, just pick the QR. Price should be the same.

Re: Asus VG278QR

You must have G-Sync compatibility enabled to make the overdrive work properly. This doesn't mean you will have to use FreeSync for games. To play games without FreeSync create an Nvidia profile and set Monitor Technology to fixed refresh. Don't disable this in Global Configuration of the 'Manage 3D...

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

I never thought you would give it a try. I'm glad it's working fine for you.

Maybe not all 240hz are bad but you will never get 240 steady fps in any modern game.

Re: Asus 278QR

What gpu do you own? Do you have G-Sync compatibility enabled? This model has higher input lag than the 25 size. If you really want 27 size, you should pick a different monitor. You can see the reviews for both on prad.de. Try these settings: https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5018&p...

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

I never tried XG258Q. ¿Do you own one? ¿Do you think it's overdrive is bad as people say here? https://forums.blurbusters.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5415&hilit=xg258 If so, then VG258QR overdrive is better because me and other users don't have problems. The ufo ghosting test is good at TF 60. There wer...

Re: About Asus VG258QR input lag

Try these settings for everything (web, apps, movies, games). For games just change TraceFree 100. You can save profiles in monitor's MyFavorite menu. Cinema mode Brightness 70 Contrast 40 Saturation 50 Color Temp: user mode RGB 100 Skin Tone: Natural Smart View: off Sharpness 50 TraceFree 60 VividP...

Re: Difference Between 2ms (80%) and 4ms (80%) GtG?

I was expecting Chief or someone to answer. I don't know if Rtings can be trusted but seems at least more reliable. Each manufacturer uses their own scale of grays, there is no standard. And on top of that they give you the lowest value achieved, not the average. And when comparing monitors we shoul...

Re: XF252Q low-latency turns off / frame skipping(?)

I asked pox02 since he was the one that said it works with FS on Asus.
Chill out, you were the one who jumped in. End of discussion with you.
