Re: Why I'm done with 240hz

stumbled upon this thread after looking for the best 240hz option to upgrade my good old trusted vg248qe from 2012 :D am SUPER happy with my vg248qe to this day, running it at 120hz lightboost @10% forever and while 144hz no lightboost feels slightly more responsive / snappy the motion blur is makin...

Re: RTSS now has new automatic Low-Lag VSYNC ON (raster base

So I have some amazing results with scanline sync when playing fortnite on my lightboosted 120 hz monitor @ 120 fps, no tearing no stutter and no motion blur + very low input lag if any compared to just 120 fps limit, just have a question, in my case, should i set SyncTimeout to 0,1, or 8333 for bes...

Re: Scanline sync is AMAZING ! [for ULMB/LightBoost]

f anyone is using lightboost/ULMB and playing pubg or fortnite, I urge you to try this! if you are running 1920x1080 like me or even if you play in another resolution you can still copy paste the values and just tweak the scanline values above I would guess, only important thing is vsync off, might...

Scanline sync is AMAZING !

Just wanted to share my experience and results after some experimenting and help from a friend who plays a lot of PUBG, and I play a lot of Fortnite, I wanted to try out scanline sync but couldnt figure out what values to put in rtss and what to put in the rtss fortnite game profile, so my friend se...

Re: 120hz lightboost/120 fps ingame limit/vsync off question

Update: Scanline Sync is freaking amazing. I can confidently say that now after some experimenting and some help from a friend who shared his PUBG RTSS profile where he set up scanline sync for his 1920x1080 monitor, (same game engine so thought I'd try) I can now pan the camera as fast as I want wi...

Re: 120hz lightboost/120 fps ingame limit/vsync off question

Thanks to both of you for the answers! thought i'd quote both of you with some final followup questions and comments, With vsync off, the higher your FPS, the better. With a 120FPS RTSS cap, you get a tear line that's quite stationary and distracting. It might be better to cap to 180FPS or 200FPS. B...

Re: 120hz lightboost/120 fps ingame limit/vsync off question

In-game limiter is best for input lag. UE 4 has a very good limiter. It's not as accurate as RTSS, but that's not important when not using vsync. The input lag difference between 120 and 144 (both without lightboost) is negligible. It's 1000/120 - 1000/144, which is 1.4ms. Lightboost off vs on, not...

120hz lightboost questions, **UPDATED**

Hello! playing a lot of fortnite on my old asus vg248qe monitor with 10% lightboost at 120 hz/120 fps ingame limit/vsync off, I presume that I would get a bit lower delay by turning off lightboost and running 144 hz/144 fps limit ingame or unlimited fps ingame, but the motion blur without lightboost...

Re: asus vg248qe and couple (lightboost) questions

probably posted too long of a post/too many questions/wall of text etc to get any good or timely responses in this thread so will try to sum it up instead :D TL;DR have a asus vg248qe monitor since 2013 running at 120 hz/lightboost 10%/120 fps limit(ingame not RTSS etc) and no vsync in games, very h...

Re: G-Sync and ULMB at the same time is in fact possible!

It is an unofficial/undocumented hack. Read through the thread. Big cons (erratic flicker) with a few pros, and very fiddly. It can be pretty good when tweaked well. You really want your 0.1% frametimes to not exceed 1/75sec. Which is extremely hard. And use RTSS framecappong, not ingame capping, d...
