240Hz monitors higher Input Lag than 144Hz?

Why is it that when reading reviews from sources such as displayninja and pcmonitors, 144Hz monitors typically have a input lag of 3-4ms while 240Hz monitors can have up to 8ms?

Can Motion Blur Reduction be harmful for your eyes?

Regardless of perceived eye strain and tiredness in your eyes, can Motion blur Reduction (i.e. strobing) be harmful for our eyes compared to non strobing? I'm not really experiencing any eye fatigue when using strobing but am still concerned that the constant flickering can somehow cause damage to t...

I'm pretty sure it's placebo.

Re: GPU limited in CS:GO causing Input Lag?

Yes, being GPU limited will add at least 1 frame of additional input lag. If you want to avoid it, use an fps_max value that keeps the GPU from being maxed out. Cheers, how much should the GPU be utilized before it should be considered a "GPU limited" scenario? If the GPU is what prevents higher FP...

Re: MBR vs Freesync vs Override:Boost AOC Monitor !!

Yes, the "Mouse Too Fast In Windows" problem. Several mouse utilities lets you configure mouse profile that trigger per-game, or per-app, assign to an extra/hidden button (e.g. a third side button or bottom button), etc. Other mouse have an extra button that can be configured to be bound to DPI swi...

Re: MBR vs Freesync vs Override:Boost AOC Monitor !!

Is it really necesarry to have 16000dpi if one can simply use 800dpi with double the in-game sens? Is there really a difference? I have a DM1 Pro S (pmw 3360) which is supposedly a pretty good sensor but have always used 800dpi because I've understood that more isn't beneficial. Should i instead sw...

Re: Need Purchase Advice Between a Couple of Monitors

Cheers, I ended up getting the C24G1 as it was available for noticably cheaper compared to the others. I'm quite pleased with it. The only downside is the slight ghosting compared to my old tn panel. The adjustable Motion blur reduction setting is nice thought.

GPU limited in CS:GO causing Input Lag?

So ever since I upgraded my CPU to a Ryzen 3600, I've been GPU limited in CS:GO (GPU clock and usage stays between 90-100%). I've read that being GPU limited can potentially cause some input lag compared to being CPU limited and I suspect this might be the case for me. Is there anything I can do to ...

Re: MBR vs Freesync vs Override:Boost AOC Monitor !!

To see maximum MBR benefits in games, you will need perfect framerate=Hz sync (either VSYNC ON or Low-Lag VSYNC or RTSS Scanline Sync, and reduce your Hz to be at the bottom end of your game's framerate range) AND at least 1600dpi+ on your gaming mouse. One of the better modern 12800dpi sensors run...
