Re: Zowie XL2546 crosstalk questions/concerns & help needed.

Not an expert by any means, but here's what I've had success with (same monitor): Use ToastyX CRU to set a custom resolution based on this image: https://www.blurbusters.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/img_590a83179a358.png Then change the refresh rate from the pictured 182 Hz to 144 Hz and increase ...

AFAIK, the XL2546 will single strobe all the way down to 75 Hz. But that's only 15 Hz higher than 60 fps material.
Interesting. When I set mine to anything below 100 Hz and run the strobe utility, it always just looks like MBR-off.

Re: Dear ViewSonic: Please Add 60 Hz Single-Strobe for PureXP on XG270

100% artificial limitation. It’s actually easier to strobe at lower Hz. It’s often a one-line code fix. Wow, that's not the answer I expected. If it's that hassle-free to implement 60 Hz single-strobing, that's a real shame. Add my name to the petition. My use case: I currently have a choice betwee...

Re: XL2546 vs. XL2540? Which should I get?

I need your advices as I am hesitating between XL2540 and XL2546, it will be purely for online competitive games and mostly CS:GO. You probably won't be using adaptive sync in that case, which is the only advantage the XL2540 has over the XL2546. The XL2546 supports backlight strobing, which I like...

Re: Dear ViewSonic: Please Add 60 Hz Single-Strobe for PureXP on XG270

What is the reason MBR-supported displays have a minimum refresh rate at which they can strobe? Is this a hardware or a software limitation?

Re: Night/Day

Hey man, I've experienced something similar in the past and can tell you it's more likely due to your biology than any physical changes w/r/t your hardware. Some people "feel it" more during the day; some people "feel it" more at night. My case improved a lot after I went to my doctor about it. Turn...

Re: Cap your fps people (battlenonsense)

Hardware Unboxed findings on this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtSfjBfp1LA The testing HWU performed for that video was a mess. Their testing was totally inconsistent (different set of tests for each game) and they managed to convince themselves they'd at least partially refuted Battlenonsense'...

Re: Wich one should I choose from these 3?

Pros/cons of panel aside, the XL2546 has a very flexible-MPRT strobe backlight that is (A) adjustable persistence from < ~0.25ms to about ~2ms (B) Strobe phase is tunable for crosstalk/latency tradeoffs (C) Flexible Hz, permits strobing in all 1Hz increments from ~75Hz thru 240Hz. (D) Voltage boost...

Re: 240hz with strobing?

Hey, For a number of reasons, we're currently forced to accept tradeoffs between high-refresh-rate 1080p and 1440p monitors. At $500+ a pop, it's hard to justify buying one of each. Some thoughts: As explained here , you can achieve fantastically smooth and blur-free experiences when framerate == re...
