Re: I really need help on this G-sync flickering issue.

I have my laptop (RoG G752VT) connected to it through the MiniDP to DP cable, running as a duplicate screen to the monitor, with the lid of the laptop closed down while running. When I have G-sync on, I get these random flickers, if it is called that. The screen will occasionally go black for half ...

Re: Blur Buster's G-SYNC 101 Series Discussion

Hi there, I just purchased a LG UltraGear 27GL63T (27 Inch IPS 1080P 144hz GSync). Looks like that's an official G-SYNC compatible FreeSync display, so you're set there. I noticed in most games with Gsync on, everything looks great. However certain games (Doom Eternal) in the menu or in certain seq...

Re: How much do ram timings affect input lag?

quoting someone who quoted you results in double quote of your original post showing in your new posts which is rather pointless and makes everything appear 3 times as well as break focus and immersion. You delete all the wrapping quotes (and their content) but for the very outer one per. Then, you...

Re: How much do ram timings affect input lag?

They will be visible, just not to the full extent because RAM latency sits at the base of everything while display sits at the very end. I have never denied it wont be, just that it will be heavily tainted by everything in the pipeline to photon if pipes arent clean all the way through. You do real...

Re: How much do ram timings affect input lag?

So that RAM latency is "accumulative" is a heavy understatement of what RAM latency affects. Yet whatever improvement it yields is still ultimately going to be visible in a frame to the end user, there's really no getting around that, and it doesn't matter how it comes about in this respect, only w...

Re: How much do ram timings affect input lag?

P.S. Wish this site had a multi quote button. There's a roundabout way you can do this by hitting the quote button on my message, opening another users message in another tab, and then manually copy/pasting the quote from the one tab to the other (which is what I do), but yeah, not currently an int...

Re: How much do ram timings affect input lag?

but what is shown on that pixel might be player object 0.5 or 0.3 points in different position existing more in real-time due to lower latency of RAM which caused game engine to be closer to real-time than trying to chase it. See? But that's my point... Whatever amount RAM adjustments reduce input ...

Re: How much do ram timings affect input lag?

Its sad you folks are still constrained in one level of thinking, which is measuring frame latency and frames. We are not discussing measuring displays here. But the only way we see and process any aspect of system output/feedback is ultimately via frames. All the information is contained in frames...

Re: How much do ram timings affect input lag?

Again, I'm pretty sure it's how input is processed rather than input lag, since i feel mouse smoother on those tracking scenarios. The higher speed tracking ones, like Close Long Strafes are the one i notice it the most. This translates to OS mouse feel too, soo not frame time issue. Tighter RAM/be...

Thank you for your explanation, I'll stick to ingame/config file fps limiter + ingame V-Sync, I finished reading Part 1, part 4 and part 6, this is very interesting!
Not a problem, and good to hear ;)
