Re: Micro stutters in old games vs. overkill PC

Yes, but you said you don't have any, at least during HL2 chapter. Not in that particular two minute section you asked us to test, no, but only in the vanilla version (again, the update version did stutter for me in the level opening). This is ridiculous once again--I'm not asking anything beyond w...

Re: What is the Future of BFI as a Feature?

Are you sure? Blur busters said frame rate needs to match hz else you will get duplicates I wasn't referring to strobing. As noted in my previous comment: The higher the refresh rate, the less perceivable the tearing, regardless of achievable framerate. I.E. a fighting game running at 60 FPS 1000Hz...

Re: What is the Future of BFI as a Feature?

I am one of those Anti 1000HZ people. Reason being is because most games will never run anywhere near 1000 FPS not even close a RTX 4090 that costs $2500 USD and destroys your electric bill struggles to run games like Remnant 2 at 60 FPS. The higher the refresh rate, the less perceivable the tearin...

Re: NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency - How It Works & Why You Want To Use It

I thought that you'll get screen tearing when going over monitor refresh rate. Since tearing is triggering me, I always cap my FPS. But I now heard that tearing is negligible when having very high FPS and it will also affect input latency in a positive way. Is that true? See: https://blurbusters.co...

Re: Micro stutters in old games vs. overkill PC

This is so weird to me and I have ran out of ideas how to test and fix this crap. First time in my life I see anything like it As I've already shared, stutter is more "normal" than not, even for legacy games, else there wouldn't be thread after thread across the internet with people complaining abo...

Re: should I cap 360hz down to 240hz for games i can't run at a consistent 240hz?

I recently bought a 360hz panel and it is great for games that can run it at that speed bit for more demanding titles such as games that would run around 240fps I'm wondering if I should cap it at 240hz when I play those titles, and if I did cap it would it make motion clarity clearer or have no di...

Re: Micro stutters in old games vs. overkill PC

Yes, when you start a new chapter and go towards the red barn there is at least 1 stutter in the area in tunnels if speeding through (area from my screenshot). Forgot to mention that I also use max settings @ 4k and 120 fps lock. You asked if I got stutter during the two jumps after the red barn, w...

Nice.

I don't have permissions to pin topics to the board, but I've PMed the Chief to inquire about the possibility.

Re: Micro stutters in old games vs. overkill PC

No matter how much stuff game engine does in the background or how terrible code is, any modern CPU definitely is capable of calculating that within 16 ms and even way, way less. Many older open-world games had a 30 FPS framerate target at the time (including GTA:VC, I believe), so the streaming sy...
