Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Intensity doesn't make anything clearer. Changing it while http://testufo.com/#test=photo&photo=al ... &height=-1 does change only brightness and nothing more. May be it's in alpha/beta version in this monitor? F/W Version: V001 20160808 Does changing "Intensity" makes motion clearer for you? I did...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Anyone tried to measure the input lag difference with blur mode on and off ? Did not measure it but it does not feel any different to regular 240hz. I did not like the added latency ulmb added on my xb270hu but that was forced to run at 100hz from 144hz. 240hz and bbr 240hz probably has a input lag...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Turn off the monitor and then hold the menu button (usually the 2nd button away starting from the power button) and press the power button. The screen will turn on and now the "menu" button is the "service menu" button. Cheers man, bought the monitor myself now and I have to say its really nice wit...

Re: Render scale and frame buffers question

I think it is similar to the unreal engine option. It has to do with buffering frames at the cpu side of the engine (https://www.reddit.com/r/Overwatch/comments/5ipwqc/on_reduced_buffering_and_understanding_input/). I tried the ptr setting and even though I am not gpu bottlenecked I still feel that ...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

GUYS CAN YOU PLEASE CHECK TO SEE IF THE MONITOR "DOUBLE STROBES" AT 60HZ or if it SINGLE STROBES? Strobing works on 100/120/144/240Hz. Custom resolutions with 59,61 timings also don't work. Sorry. Suprised it works at 240hz thats really awesome. Has to be a dream to play quake, tf2 or overwatch on ...

Re: Presenting the ZOWIE XL2540 240Hz

Wait so this monitor does support blur reduction and benq does not allow you to toggle it in the standard menu. Does it look good or does it have artifacts or something. I don't understand they would not allow you to toggle something like this. How did you even get in the service menu btw? Some butt...

Re: External blur reduction adapter

You could probably modify most lcd displays to do backlight strobing especially if they dont use PWM. You would have to find the vblank signal attach it to the gate of a mosfet. Connect a capacitor with carefully calculated specs to the power wire which goes to the backlight through the mosfet. Or y...

Re: Measure button to pixel full input lag

Next step is to make tests on both monitors at Quake Live. Quake Live because I perform much better at PG248Q at 170Hz than XL2540 at 240Hz. Values will higher for sure. max fps 250 is one of the reasons. May be Quake Live engine (not directx9) works wrong at such high refresh rate. May be almost s...

Re: xl2540 input latency possible sync problem?

It doesn't really matter how this monitor performs at 60Hz via HDMI because all will use 240Hz and DisplayPort. Yes exactly but it would be a bit unfortunate for these high refresh monitors to be benched this way. Since it does not really represent their actual latency characteristics. At respawn t...

Re: xl2540 input latency possible sync problem?

If you look at their "input lag (bottom)" graph you will notice all the monitors have 16ms minimum. That values indicates that 60Hz is used for test. That means the monitor is running with a very high vertical blank region right? Since 17.3(bottom lag) - 10.1(top lag) = 7.2ms. So the scanrate of th...
