Re: analog vs digital signal synchronization and input lag

http://www.prad.de/en/monitore/specials/inputlag/inputlag-part17.html long and technical article, but basically it finds that the vblank signals in the analog and digital outputs are not synchronized on most graphics cards; hence measuring the input lag difference between a crt monitor and an lcd m...

Re: A bit of information about Acer Predator GN246HL

I've done some tests in clone mode with 144 and 120Hz modes: 144Hz: 7 runs (reboots, switching ports). 166 photos. BenQ was faster at 74% of photos. Same results were at 19% of photos. Acer was faster at 7% of photos. BenQ was faster by ~1.5 144Hz frame. 120Hz: 1 run. 26 photos. BenQ was faster at 5...

Re: A bit of information about Acer Predator GN246HL

Overdrive is much aggressive in comparison to BenQ XL2411T and can't be changed. Wow, that's a bit hard to believe  . Can you take a photo at the alien invasion test? Thanks for sharing all this information. It's good to know how other brands are compared to the usual ones. If you are talking ...

A bit of information about Acer Predator GN246HL

First of all I didn't want to make any review of this monitor but due low information at internets I guess this information will useful for users who thinks about buying first 144Hz NVIDIA 3D Vision 2 model from Acer. I've got Acer only for input lag test comparison to mine BenQ XL2411T but I...

Re: Alternative refresh techniques

That shows the scan pattern of your camera sensor relative to your display. Perpendicular scan. Your monitor vertical scanout and your camera sensor horizontal scanout. Rotate camera 90 degrees to eliminate this diagonal artifact. But it will still not produce accurate input lag measurements becaus...

May be someone know why i get photos where screen updates diagonally? I took pictures from not so moder Samsung Galaxy S smartphone and I guess shutter speed ...

Re: 120/144hz monitors timings

For this reason, I find it interesting I can't reduce 144Hz scanout down to 6.1ms, like I can with 120Hz -- I wonder why? I do not know if this ends up making VSYNC ON 120Hz lower-lag than VSYNC ON 144Hz, though -- I'd love to see input lag tests. Thank you again for so detailed answer. At 1920x108...
